[Other] Who wants to do a Disneyland Podcast?

Hi All,

First if this thread is in the wrong place, sorry, I am not sure if it should go here or in community.

Anyways, late last year I had become a HUGE fan of Disneyland. And I have spending a lot of my spare time listening to Disney parks and news podcasts and been spending a lot of time reading message boards like MiceChat. Anyways, I have noticed while there are TON of Walt Disney World podcasts there is only a few Disneyland ones. So I think there is room for one more. I have never podcasted before but am a fast learner. But I don't want to do a solo podcast I would love to do a group one. So anyone interested in doing a podcast with me? I am not exactly sure what we will need to do this, but I am going to be doing research this weekend.

About me:
-26 year old male who lives in the San Francisco bay Area.
- I work in the IT developing work but haven't done websites or podcasts
-I visit Disneyland about every 3 - 4 weeks
- Been to Walt Disney World only once last Febuary, but know a lot about those parks, and am planning to start visiting more.
-Mac user

-Podcast Segment Ideas: Disneyland focused with light discussion on all disney parks and company
Segment 1) Light news: I don't want to do a breaking news show. But whatever is new or annouced or rumored about the Disneyland Parks.
2)General discussion about rides or any topic we thing of.
3)Review of restuarants
4)Discuss interesting threads about disneyland online.
5)Hopefully answering email questions about Disneyland

What do you guys think? Any Advice? Anyone Interested?

What do you guys think? Any Advice? Anyone Interested?

I like the idea, but the thing with Disneyland podcasts, I see so many of them being done already, none of which are really quality work in my opinion (or at least to what I've seen).

I like the idea of restaurants review, but thinking about it, after so many podcasts, you'll run out of places to review. I find that that the news out there about Disneyland doesn't come out too frequently that you won't get much interest in that section.

What would really make this work is if you can get people from the company that you can interview and get their insight that you can share with fans. That i something that I don't see too often. Or get fans to call in and share their stories. Perhaps, if you have a look back in history, have people call in and talk about what they remember or miss most about Disneyland. Then discuss the history of something and what happened to it. I think that'll be cool.

Anyways, whatever happens, best of luck to you. I haven't done podcasts myself and can only offer help with the website as that's something I can do, though I do know that in that area, there are more capable people on this site.

ryanvalle I really like your idea of getting people to share their experiences with the parks. Also the list of Ideas for podcasts I had where for 1 podcast. What i mean is I thought the podcast could be broken up in podcasts. Start with news, then do reviews, then gerneral discussion topic of the week like "Favorite original attractions", and so on each week.

Sounds like you have a lot of good ideas! I'm on Soouthern California I'm pretty close to the parks, depending on what temp jobs I'm doing, I oculd help out, if you're interested.

FYI, I am in the North Bay, so I am planning to have everyone remote and doing a remote podcast.

Here is an Update. A few people have expressed interest in doing a podcast. So now hopefully we will work together and create a pilot podcast. I already know our first attempt will sound... not great. But I will be posting a link to the podcast here on Micechat and I hope I can get some input from everyone on how to improve the show. At that point if any of you would like to join the podcast, or just want to do a segment or help out, we can continue.
