Hey MiceChatters I'm going to Disneyland in a couple of hours to celebrate my birthday with a couple of friends. This will be my first trip report so I hope you guys will like it. I won't be able to post pics until I get back home but I will be tweeting all day and will also twitpic my adventures. My Birthday Trip (Photo Heavy)

EDIT: I'm currently adjusting the pics that are posted since I was too tired to do it when I posted them. The pics will update themselves as they are reuploaded to my Picasa gallery.

Hey everyone. I just finished uploading the pics from my birthday trip and I'm excited to share them with you.

I apologize in advance for less than desirable quality in a few of the shots. I was using a camera that wasn't fully charged and was deciding on its own to change picture quality.

I got to the park around 10:30am. Traffic was really light and there were only 2 cars waiting at each parking booth. Made it to the esplanade and got my ticket and button, and went in. The Mickey floral still has the celebrate balloons but there are made of pink, red, and white poinsettias. Very beautiful. I noticed at the bottom of the entertainment guide, an anti-swine flu guide (that's basically what it was) was inserted where the fastpass listing usually goes.

First stop was Tiana's Showboat Jubilee! in NOS. It is a well put together and executed show. I didn't meet one person who had something ill to say about it.

The poor CMs not only had to fight children for the streamers so they could clean up, they also had to get it out of the trees.



NOS has some of the best Christmas decorations in the entire resort. Certain sections looked like there weren't completely decorated yet but idk for sure.

I finally made it to the Christmas Laughing Stock Co. show outside of the The Golden Horseshoe.

We had lunch at pizza port then headed to Main Street for a Christmas Fantasy. Instead of having a movie pre-parade, there was a hs marching band and a drum and fife regiment.

I got some really nice shot of the parade.

Main Street had some of the best Holiday Treats including a brick sized rice crispie treat and these snowman marshmallow pops.



We hopped on the Disneyland Railroad to Toontown. I asked if I could ride in the Lilly Belle but they said they didn't have an extra conductor to supervise guests in the car. Boo! We never really go to Toontown for some reason but I'm glad we did this time.



^^having a pie and dumbbells as part of the Toontown garland was a really nice touch.

^^I am no was associated with these people but I thought it was the greatest photo op known to man.

^^the frogs squirt again for those that care lol.

A trip to Pixie Hollow at night was in order and it didn't disappoint.




By now it was time to claim a spot in from of the castle for Believe In Holiday Magic. I started saving seats around 7 but still managed to get into the coveted first section before people knew you could sit there. Once the castle was roped off on both sides, a couple got engaged in front of hundreds of the closest new friends. I was worried because every single time I've waited for RDCT and someone got engaged in front of the castle winds in higher elevations ruined our fun. ) I only manged to take one photo just as my camera died and it's a little weird. I call it my evil smiley face.



My camera died before I could shoot Fantasmic! :bang: The show was amazing as usual but Ka was a no show and Murphy didn't breathe fire. Murphy has made some improvements since the day she came out of the pit. Her body and head/neck moved a lot more and is getting pretty close to the stop animation model presented during Summer Nighttastic. She's not in A Mode yet so I'd estimate she's running in a B+ mode. :thumbup:
If you haven't seen Murphy in person you need to go see her. Stop whatever you're doing right now and go. Buy a plane ticket. Start the car. Do what you have to do to see her. :bow:

After the 10:30 showing of F! the mass exodus to the gate began and we were able to walk on POTC, HMH, Splash, IASMH, FNSV, and Space in less than 1hr before park closing. Overall it was an awesome way to spend my birthday and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

great trip report and great photos. Sorry your battery died on your camera.
At least you did not drop it like I did last year. It died after it was dropped and we had one more day to go.
So I got a better one for Christmas:thumbup:.
