[Question] Disneyland on Christmas Eve or Day

Hi Guys,

One quick question before the Christmas one, I was planning on going to Disney on December 7 for pictures when I noticed it closes at 6 PM and California Adventure closes at 9 PM. Why is that?

Does Disney do anything "extra special" on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day at Disney? Has anyone been to Disney on either of those days?

I read somewhere else that there is a cast member christmas party on the 7th and 8th so Disneyland is closing early.

I was there on Christmas Eve a number of years ago. Late in the afternoon, the park was virtually empty and was incredibly magical. Talked a lot with a number of CM's (thanking them for being there). Nothing special was happening, but pretty much having the park to myself was special enough.

I think on Christmas eve or Christmas when the park closes all the characters stand at the Main Street Train Station and wave goodbye.

Last year when I went about an hour or two before the park closed, a WHOLE BUNCH of characters came out for meet n greets, then they all went up to the train station and said good bye to the crowds.

I didn't get to go to Disneyland on Christmas day last year cause it rain that day. But the other Christmas DAYS send 2004 I have gone. The park really dosen't get pack until after 1pm. It is very nice. I remember on the 50th Anniversy that Rabbit from Winnie The Pooh came out by the Christmas tree in Main St.
