  • [Question] Question on Shoes?

Hey fellow micechatters, I just got back from Disneyland a while ago. I went for the Micechat Meet Up, my 2nd one, which nobody was really there and the people who did show we talked for a few then we all went our seperate ways, but it was still fun and for everyone who showed up, I enjoyed meeting you all. I walked around with a fellow micechatter for about 2 hours or so and we parted ways and I went and hung out with a friend I bumped into earlier in the day for the rest of the night and I had a blast.

Anyways, I was at the park today for about I figured 13 to 14 hours and my feet are killing me. So my question is what is the best type/brand/style of shoes that can stand the test of walking for that long. Right now I switch off between Tony Hawks and Nikes and both end up makng my feet hurt at the end of the night.... but the Tony Hawks more then the Nikes (and smart me decided to wear my Tony Hawks to the park today.... yeah smart I know!) Thanks everyone

        Re: Question on Shoes?

I know a lot of people absolutely hate them, but I wear my Crocs when I go and they are always very comfortable. I get tired after 16 hours of Disneyland, but my feet don't hurt. I am thinking about getting something different for my next trip, only because it will be colder and could be wet and rainy and Crocs are not good for keeping your feet dry.

I buy running shoes or Walk Shoes.
Most shoes from Big five sale.
you also may be tie shoe lace to tie. you feet get big when you are on and walking a long time.

So loosen those lace on those hurt feets.

I have to say, Is tip work for me at WDW.

            Re: Question on Shoes?

I've been buying the same shoes for years now - I hyperpronate (i.e. have flat feet) pretty badly, and the New Balance 993 seems to be the only shoe that works for me...with custom orthotics, that is. If the shoe and the orthotic are both in good condition, I can wear them for a long day without much discomfort, but if not, the pain is pretty insane. I usually switch to sandals toward the end of a day in the park, though - it allows my feet to breathe a little and change which muscle groups are getting worked just slightly. I've found that this helps, too. And if I still end up with my feet killing me at the end of the day, I take some Tylenol, which usually makes a big difference.

              Re: Question on Shoes?

I have tried on basically every type of shoe at Big 5. And I always go back to K-Mart and get the basic edition tennis shoes that cost about $3 or $4. For some reason, they are just right for my feet. They only last 1 year, maybe 2, but they are cheap. I have never found anything I like better with the exception to my Justin roping boots I wear when on the motorcycle - but I wouldn't recommend those for Disneyland!

I swear by my Crocs. I easily went 14 hours at Disneyland last time, and my feet didn't hurt a bit.

My daughter's soccer coaches wear these everywhere and say they are the most comfortable things to wear on your feet EVER! They even play soccer in them (at practice).

I think it's sketchers or maybe rebok makes a shoe like that now, and they are a bit cheaper, I don't know if they are comparable in comfort though

Personally I go with Adidas, a good cross trainer, gives you support and comfort, I'd stay away from Skater Style shoes like airwalk or vans, they don't have arch support and cause more stress on the rest of your foot.

Me too. In the summer I always wear flip flops, and sometimes I wear flats. I went yesterday and wore some DC shoes and my feet didn't hurt a bit at the end of the night.

i had to wear these for a few of my performances... NO ankle support whatsoever! not the best for hip hop routines.

I just wear flip-flops because they let your feet breath. But you gotta hold on too them tight if your going on Soarin' over California, lol.
