Last March I gave my friend a 2-day pass for DLR for her b-day. This past weekend we finally made out pilgramage.
Most of the trip was spent checking out all the x-mas merchandise and gazing at the wonders of the season in side the park. Crowds were good. And we had a great time.
Before Pics, I have some reviews: First up is the New Troubador Tavern. Loved it!! The baked potato was a great value. Two Forks up for this new eatery. Next is the Fireworks show: Compared to the Halloween show this lacked something, but the castle is as magical as ever and fireworks always wow. Totally worth the frozen numb butt. Lastly, I must mention a couple downers.
First there was the nurse at the first aid station who told my friend after asking for Excedrine that she used it plenty for herself until she was in the emergency room with a GI bleed! Well, that's magical!? And the woman who scanned our passes at DCA looked at us like we had just interuptted her break. Really? She sighed at us and rolled her eyes and everything. Certainly a smile and a welcome would have been too much to ask for. This lady needs a new post--off stage perhaps.
Enough! Now for the photos-- I decided to do Christmas photos since it was so Christmasy. Enjoy!!
