  • [Idea] A Restaurant in Ariel's Adventure?

I was reading someone elses thread about an Ariel expansion and it made me think of having a Resteraunt inside like Blue Bayou with coral, clam tables, a fish courtet can play ( Idk how to spell ), etc....

I am not sure since Ariels little resteraunt will be across from it.

Tell me your thoughts on having a resteraunt in it?

Heres something I just drew up as the Cushion/ Back of the chair. If its the back of the chair you put your back against we can make it cushiony.

Not the best but you get the point... ( Or I hope you do )

Heres the Entire Chair without the legs..... Its kind of bad. Not my best.

No. It wouldn't be anything like the Bayou.

Well no not like that..... difficult to explain.

Hmm like at the BAnd scene there could be a room or something behind it with a resteraunt.

Again, no. It works in Pirates because that atmosphere is soooo iconic and this would be...tacky.'

I really like the idea, especially because Ariel's Grotto is going generic princess after the refurb, to my knowledge...

In Kiss the Girl sequence? Or Fathoms Below? Or even Under the Sea? I think it would be quite impressive and nice.

However, the space is so small as is... bet barely the queue and ride fit already lol

But I don't think it would AT ALL be "tacky"

If there were room for it, I think it would be awesome to have a little mermaid inspired restaurant.

What I haven't quite grasped is if AA will be IN water. Kiss De Girl seems odd if there won't be any water

You know, I think it'd actually be cute!
I didn't agree at first, but then I actually read what you had to say, and it sounds like a pretty sweet idea.
I don't think it'd be tacky at all! Granted, it wont be anything like the Bayou, but I know what you mean anyway. It wont have the same ambience as the Blue Bayou, but it'd still have a specific theme. Instead of feeling like you're eating outside it'll be like you're eating Under the Sea (har har har)!
I LOVE IT! (But maybe because I love everything Little Mermaid.)
But still, love the clam shell chair idea.

re: A Restaurant in Ariel's Adventure?

Even after the re-do, so much of the Little Mermaid based attractions will be too far away from each other. And they are NOT going far enough into the Little Mermaid Theme for this "Oceanside" theme. It's really more than disappointing, especially since it's been announced that WDW will be getting Prince Eric's Castle. . . . and Paradise Pier is getting the crappy disjointed Paradise Pier / with a little Little Mermaid Theme sprinkled here and there.

DCA ALL ALONG, should have taken some inspiration from Tokoyo Disney Sea, and create a large portion around paradise puddle as exclusive for an Under the Sea area, for Prince Erics Castle or King Triton's Castle. But DCA once again proves that they are screwing things up again. Why is Jumping Jellyfish on one end of paradise puddle, and King Triton's Carousel WAY on the Other Side? And Ariel's restaurant is halfway between the Carousel and the Attraction. THAT should have been one of the major goals with the makeover is to place attractions together, in a coherent fashion.

AND YES, then DCA should have taken some of the inspiration from New Orleans Square, by creating a truly unique dinning experience (although NOT one that would let you see inside the main show building of attraction, just a little preview, like what pirates does.

By creating more unified Fantasy area exclusively for Ariel, you would be solving a major problem for Paradise Pier. THEY NEED to do it RIGHT this 2nd TIME, But they are BLOWING IT already. They NEED to do for Ariel, what they are Doing for CARS!!!!

This highlights why I think Disney Execs were on an illegal drug while planning DCA. Why do Californians want to visit a (cheap) book review of California when California itself does it 10 times better. Apparently the Pirates philospohy for WDW and why it wasn't supposed to be built was tarnished- and I can't even imaine Californians wanted a California park, so I honestly don't know what they were thinking.

Uhh... DCA isnt just for Californians.. It was designed to bring in tourists and make it a destination resort. That kinda sounds selfish

In your opinion anyway... All he means by like the Blue Bayou is that it would be looking into the ride. I think that if the space was there and you could look out on the AA's in the ocean singing and swimming, that would be really cool. Talk about a unique dining experience.

Apparently the AA will not be in water, but they are trying to make it look as though she is. Apparently making her body and hair "float in water" is proving to be very difficult resulting in an extremely sophisticated AA.

And the dinning experience would make you feel as if your underwater and you can some what see the Clam Shell cars passing by. Also, Isn't there some space left behind Ariel's area? I'm Unsure though.

I think this is a great idea. Just make sure it isn't a seafood restaurant! lol
                              Fish are friends, not food!
As nice as the other parks are, we must always remember that it all began at Disneyland. Disneyland should be the crown jewel in the Disney crown.

Heres a column I began to draw. Not very well drawn and the left side is lop sided. If they have column I imagined them with designs on them making it feel as if your under the sea.

A restaurant would be awesome. I can just imagine the cuisine and vibrant colors.

Maybe a seafood menu? With my favorite Swordfish, and others.

We can put a Seafood section o nth menu and a normal dinning for those who do not enjoy seafood.

                                      More ideas anyone?
