Re: Christmas day at Disneyland
Christmas Day at Disneyland. From opening till between 10am and noon the Park is wide open. But then people finish with opening gifts and try to find something to do or somewhere to go. They call around and fined that Magic Mountain is closed. Knotts is closed. Universal is closed. But Disneyland is open so the hoards hit the gates and from midmorning on, the Park is heavily crowded. A traditional Christmas Turkey Dinner is usually offered at the Disneyland Hotel, but it's expensive. It's up to you if you want to brave the crowds during the afternoon and evening. I did it once and swore never again.Peter Pan Forever!!! I Will Never Grow Up.

Re: Christmas day at Disneyland
I've seen people say how horribly crowded Christmas day is, but we went last year and it wasn't bad at all. We arrived in the early afternoon and noticed a lot of people were leaving and by nightfall crowds were light. We went on several attractions that had no line at all. By late evening it was almost empty. We might do it again this year too. Everyone was in a good mood, the CMs were happy even though they were working on a holiday. One CM presented me with his DL gift pin.

Re: Christmas day at Disneyland
I haven't been at Disneyland on Christmas since I was an Attractions CM...my last year being '94. From '83 through '94, I can count on maybe one or two fingers the times I worked on Christmas when it wasn't crowded. If people are finding Christmas in recent years to be uncrowded, then things have changed a lot since my tenure there.

Re: Christmas day at Disneyland
I went to Disneyland last year on Christmas Day, after my family opened gifts, and it wasn't crowded at all. There was barely anybody there, but I think the main reason behind that was the weather; it was starting to rain. Nothing special happened, although there was a beautiful rainbow over the castlehaha

Oh, most of the sit down restaurants are booked for Christmas Day if that gives you a hint how busy it will be. (Booked ours last week.)If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.

Re: Christmas day at Disneyland
Like most on here have said. It's not bad on Christmas Day. My family has gone on Christmas day send 2003 but last year we didn't cause it was raining that day and when it rains we don't go. I really never saw the park pack until after 1pm. The only time I think it was buzy was Disneyland's 50th Anniversy. But that's about it.
