[Question] Skateboard in the park???

Just got back from DL and have a question.

How would someone get a full size skateboard into DL? Was there some kind of skate event in the park?

My brother and I were walking towards smallworld next to StoryBook land as the parade was getting ready to start. Then this guy carrying a skateboard quickly walked past us. My brother was trying to convince me the guy was an employee and must use the board as part of his job. I don't think so.

They don't sell boards anywhere in the park do they? There were no grind marks on the bottom of the board but the wheels were dirty so it looked like it had seen some use.

I see kids using their heelies all the time but I've never seen a skateboard in DL before. Weird.

Security stops people using wheelies. How the skateboard got in there I haven't the foggiest idea.

Yeah Disney dosen't aloud Wheelie shoes to be out. If kids use them I see CM telling them and there partens that they need to put them away. As for the skateboard have no answer to that. I have no idea how that person got pass Bag check with it.

Well, that vid is from Tokyo Disneyland. I don't remember any show over here that involved a skateboard.

My fiancee bought a skate board in dtd when we were leaving and had to cross the espanad to get to our car when we hit the security check point they said skate boards aren't alloud we asked how do we get to our car they had a security gaurd come and walk us to past the other security tent on the other side.

Yeah, while they were stopping the little old ladies from entering the Park with their knitting needles, the "bag check" CM's probably didn't even notice the two foot long by six inch wide piece of plywood with wheels on it that the skater was carrying under his arm.

Or maybe he was riding it as he passed by the bag checkers??? :lol:
