[Question] What is the fastest ride?

When we were at DL last week, my girls went on Gadget's Go Coaster and 1 cried because it was fast. When they got off the CM told them that they rode the fastest ride in the park. She told my husband it was clocked faster than Screamin'. Can this be true? I find it hard to believe, but so many things at Dl are not what they seem so I came to the experts.

Absolutely not. Screamin' launches at 55, I believe, faster than the entire Gadget ride. Also, to be nitpicky, Screamin' isn't in the park. The fastest in the park are
1.The drop on Splash
2.SM
3.BTMRR
4.Matterhorn

Gadgets goes about 21 mph in comparison Matterhorn goes 28, Space 32, Thunder 30.

Splash Mountain is the fastest ride at Disneyland Park at 45 while the California Screamin launch is 55 mph.

How can it be clocked faster than the launch at Screamin'? :lol: I believe Screamin's launch is about 55mph.

Gadgets is the fastest ride in the park, not the one with the highest speed. She meant it in regards to how quickly the ride is over. Which is absolutely correct. The Drop at Splash Mountains is the speediest you will travel in any Disneyland Park attraction.

the old joke used to be that the parking lot tram was the fastest ride in (I guess outside?) the park. Of course that was before DCA was built.

What about the Mailboomer? Is that faster than ToT? It's probably been 8 years since I rode it. I have no idea.

How can Gadget's Go Coaster be the fastest ride at Disneyland? Splash Mountain is way faster on the final drop.

No, the Maliboomer is about the same speed as the ToT, even though when your on it, it doesn't feel all that fast. Maliboomers fastest is about 40, which is ToT max speed... 39 is just the average for ToT
