News FRogs working again on Gadget's Go Coaster

After years of the frog's not working, they finally do. They spit water again, as of a couple weeks ago. I have a picture but it will take a while to find it and post it. sorry if this has already been posted

I'm happy about this - at least it's got a smidgeon of theming now .

It's a shame they didn't do more with the Gadget idea. She invented all sorts of crazy things out of everyday objects on the show. Maybe if the ride were more distinctive, people would know who she is nowadays .

EDIT - do you think this has anything to do with The Princess and the Frog? Like, they want people to notice the frogs, so they'll think "frogs, frogs, frogs - suddenly, I want to buy lots of Princess and the Frog merchandise!" The timing of this repair does seem kind of funny.

I find it interesting that 80's toon Inspector Gadget seems to be better known than 80's toon Gadget Hackwrench (that was her last name, as revealed in one episode). Is it because of that live action movie they did of Inspector Gadget with Mattew Broderick?

Seriously, I think it's a shame Disney created so many great characters for the Disney Afternoon *coughDarkwingDuckcough* and then let them vanish into the mists of time. Maybe this minor repair to Gadget's Go Coaster means they'll start dusting off some other forgotten toons and bringing them to Toon Town.

I think because it's called "Gadget's GO Coaster" specifically, people tend to think of the Inspector Gadget show, since one of his main catch phrases was "Go, Go Gadget...". I think that one little word makes it all the more confusing.

i couldn't find a thing on chipndale's go coaster

plus i was 7 the last time i rode that
little kids always confuse the actual titles of things

i wish they had just done more with toontown in general. It is by far my favorite land. There could have been so many rides they could have added, or at least kept the place looking nice. I like the fact that this year they finally did a refurb on the whole place, except for one of the most popular rides in the park...RRCTS, but hopefully that is coming soon!!! I think they need more rides like RRCTS and should bring back, as someone stated before characters like duckwing duck, or scrooge (ie ducktales). I think it's just that those cartoons are too far in the past, and not nearly big enough to do anything with...oh well such is life...

Ahh, but those cartoons could have been/stayed big, if Disney had been willing to do something other than toss the characters into a vault and forget about them.

Yes, I do still have fond memories of the summer they decked areas out as "Disney Afternoon Avenue", why do you ask?
