[Question] Fun Wheel in WOC?

Someone brought this up in another thread, but do you think Mickey's Fun Wheel should/will be open during World Of Color?

I thought I read somewhere that it wouldnt be. Because of the pyrotechnics used during the show, and the fun wheel is part of the backdrop, so it would be dumb to have it stopping and starting repeatedly.

Yeah I was thinking some parts of the show would interfere with it.

But it sure would be fun to see what the show would look like from up there.

Is MFW even going to be part of the show? I've gotten the impression that they aren't going to use MFW. I know when it opened they said it COULD be used for WoC, but they never said it actually would. And seeing all the concept art and all, the main focus of the show is the lagoon and thats all. Idk, but to me, it looks like MFW won't be used in the show. And I doubt it would be open during, seeing as guests would get soaked!

When the Sun Wheel got its makeover they also updated the lights to a new LED package right? Since this new LED schema is more colorful I would think that it will probably be used as a backdrop for the WoC show.

As a matter of fact, what if Disney plans on giving the rest of the paradise pier area an LED overlay similar to Mickey's Fun Wheel to be used during WoC?? That would get 5 out of 5 Keanu "Whoa's" from me.

I can see how the pyro could be a safety issue for the Fun Wheel but does that also mean that CS as well as the boardwalk pedestrian area would have to be closed too ala toontown style??

I remember the rumor that the face would move and Mickey would talk during the show.. Imagine the kids' reaction if they saw Mickey's head mounted on the wheel, talking to them!

Great, now I'm 150% excited about WoC again. I'm going home to get my construction gear and see if they'll let me help build this thing faster haha!

what if the give out special tickets every day along paradise pier (like they do for tiana's show boat) for people to have a special half hour ride on the fun wheel during the WOC.
(it could just spin the whole show and wouldn't have to stop.)

I thought someone reported that they were testing fire and lights synced up with Fun Wheel lights.

Maybe Mickey's Fun Wheel will be DCA's version of the mark twain in fantasmic where at the end all the characters are in the gondolas waving with spotlights on them!

its going to be a water/light/fire effect show only, no characters.
