Uncle Walt and I share something in common. A birthday.
Ok, a few years apart but still its kind of cool to have been born on the same day.
My husband doesn't like Disneyland, but he's nice enough to let me run away for my birthday and spend the weekend there. Sort of his present to me.
One of the things I feel most fortunate about, is the fact that while I don't get to go all the time, I do live close enough that I am able to make several trips a year. So doing a solo trip is actually a relaxing, enjoyable thing, as I can ride things if I want, or just sit on a bench and watch the world go by without having to stress about trying to see and do everything in a limited amount of time.
I spent a day and a half just wandering Disneyland (didn't go near DCA this time), and thought I'd share a few of the pictures I took while there.

Arriving around 8:30 AM on Saturday, lines were extremely light.

Won't be looking at these much longer.... maybe....

The Main Street station was set up for Candlelight.
I love being in the park first thing in the morning. Being one of the first ones in gives you some advantages.

How often do you see NOS like this?

Pirates... walk on.

Haunted Mansion... walk on.
But I knew it was early and because of Candlelight Processional that evening, it was only a matter of time before the park became crowded. But might as well enjoying while I could.
I love NOS this time of year. The decorations are beautiful!

So much to see, so much color and visually exciting!

Even the Twain was decked decked out in colors for the Tiana's Showboat Jubilee.
And I have never, ever been able to get any decent pictures on Pirates with my little point and shoot camera... but somehow, this one actually almost worked.

Next up, some pictures of random wandering around the park....
