Trip Report 12/12/2009 - Rainy Day Visit

The crowds were lighter than usual, but the park wasn't exactly empty. There were a LOT of people there for "Reindeer Games". They were everywhere. Without them it would have been nearly empty, but without the rain they probably would have made it packed.




They were advertising some sort of giveaway from Honda.





The new sign is up on the Opera House and the lobby is closed (I guess they are working on the Lincoln entrance).

I stopped by Pixie Hollow, and since the line was short I decided to go in.

Ron - Thanks for those great shots! I appreciate you going out in the rain to get them. I was there yesterday as well and it was POURING. I don't think I've ever seen the Cavalcade before. And I love the rainy night shots of the GG bridge and the castle. Thanks for sharing these rainy shots with us!

Riding California Screamin' in the rain was something else! The raindrops sting your face and your head gets soaked.

One thing about rainy days is you quickly notice how few dry places to eat there are.

I was there yesterday too. I didn't think it was that rainy. It was what i was expecting., I have been there when it was far worse. We stayed dry all day and I found it to be warm. I had to take my jacket off once thew rain eased up in the afternoon.

I really enjoyed the Tiki Room pics. The Tiki Room is one of my favorite things at DL, those pics brought back very fond memories.

The Castle shots were absolutely beautiful! DL takes on a whole new personality after dark, just as is does in the rain.

It looks like it wasn't very crowded, that had to be nice. I've only been to DL once in the rain, and I just loved it!

I never knew of the "time castle" thing. that's so cool! I assume it is located near the castle.

It's out in front of the castle, before the compass rose, just a few feet from the street.

& i will say this, i think Disneyland in the rain is something to experience....... but maybe only once. i probably wont do it again....
