  • California Screamin' Now Has Pouches For Your Stuff!

    Ahoy all,

I was at DCA today with my Dad. We finally went on Screamin'. It was even better than before! But here's the coolest; there are pouches in front of the seats for purses and stuff! I LOVE that! We were in a car second to the end and it only had one pouch between the seats. But I saw on most others there was a pouch for each person. The have velcro flaps to keep your stuff from falling out on that loop! I always love that on Indy, Star Tours and Soarin'. Just had to pass this on!

Thank goodness! I constantly have sunglasses or something else to take off and hold on to on that ride! That's so convenient.

Very nice! Now if they'd just give us somewhere to keep things dry on GRR. :beg:

Maybe that's so they could tell the public that's why it was closed ) ...they had to add the pouches!

They give you free lockers for a time dependent on the queue length. Also, the seats lift up and there is storage underneath.

^ I knew about the lockers.

But I didn't know the seats lift up. I will have to check that next time.

Although I can't remember when I last rode GRR. Been at least a year. That's sad because I love that ride.

Sweet! I used to get tired of holding my bag between my feet on Screamin'!

Where are the lockers at GRR? I've never seen them! And I didn't know that the seats could lift up, either. Does it actually keep them dry, or does water get in there? I usually just put my stuff in the middle, but it got wet a lot.

The seats on GRR really lift up for storage O.o?

The first row of each car has only one pouch for the two seats, the second row in each car has two pouches. I really don't have an answer as to why though.

yeah the seats lift up, thats where a cast member told us to keep our stuff when we rode.. made me mad though.. it DOES NOT keep them dry.. the space under the seats is actually for the drainage of any water that gets into the boat.. so everything you put under there gets soaked!! This may have changed since the last time I rode.. but I don't know

Theres lockers??? Oh do tell more! Lockers would be so handy!

GRR lockers are on the left as you're walking from Soarin' to GRR, before you get to the GRR entrance (where you can take a side path to observe the big drop). They're in a small alcove that faces away from the main path, so you can't see them unless you go down the path to the left .....

I have the answer, it has to do with the way the train is designed, in all the other rows, they can attach the pouches to the back of the seat in front of you, but the front row has a much smaller and lower area than the rest of the rows..

By the way, here is a photo of the pouch.
