its been in talks for months along with testing after park hours, but now it seems the trams will now be getting those doors that have been in the talks for a while since the lawsuit from the guest that fell asleep and fell off. There is a big tent set up in the cast member parking lot behind the parking structure and its said that is where they will be installing the doors. a rough date for them to appear would be jan 10th. Remember this is still a rumor due to no official word but any parking cast members will tell you about them if you manage get it out before/after they are yelled about about the current parking situation.

Re: Somewhat confirmed but not official
I also don't remember hearing this story of a guest falling asleep and falling off the tram... when did it happen?
But as is typical in our lawsuit happy country, it's not the guest's responsibility to stay awake and safe, it's Disney's.
They should also provide seat belts, air bags and a roll cage.

Re: Somewhat confirmed but not official
Interesting.
The article says:
“This incident was caused by the plaintiff and her sisters’ multiple failures to comply with Disneyland’s numerous and repeated safety warnings,” ..."
and....
"...but were living in Northern California when they visited Disneyland. Zhao is now being cared for in Beijing."
So they were warned about such things, but didn't adhere so now Disney pays for it (doesn't seem fair)
And you can win a lawsuit (or hold on) in the US even if you aren't living here?? That's interesting.
The article also mentioned that this family was the only one who had problems that night.Quote by Al:
To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.

what they really should do is stop spending money on doors that will slow the transporation process even more and start considering the original plan of having peoplemovers running form the parking garage to the esplanade.
