I actually like them both. They should show ones from the past but they should update any old text or erase any dead attractions before they do so.

          Re: Disneyland Commercial?

TDA uses our castle but HKDL lights when they use the computer because HKDL's is much, much easier to computer generate because it covers the entire castle instead of looking like ice-cycles.

HKDL's uses a totally different theme for the year. All around the park they had giant post cards set up that have Small World's style. They are both good but interpret totally different ideas.

EDIT: BTW, did you know that DL's and HKDL's castle are identical. The only difference is the background with HKDL having huge mountains.

I like the commercial. I don't know how you wouldn't know it was a Disneyland commercial with Peter Pan ships and It's a Small World playing.

I think the OP meant the product (Disneyland or otherwise) wasn't made known until the end of the commercial so anyone that is not as familiar with the parks as we are in MiceChatland would get lost in the shuffle.

All of the recent commercials have been very dreamlike, this one included. IMO the commercial could have highlighted more of the holiday decorations and attractions (for people like my grandma who haven't been to the park in over 30 years) but there is a fine line between commercial and infomercial.

I think the HKDL one was cute, but I don't see how you didn't know it was a DL commercial until the end. I instantly recognized the Peter Pan ships and Its A Small World all decked out in the holiday lights. Maybe to someone who hasn't been to the park in a long time they might not know it was Disneyland until the very end but I like the concept of our commercial with the kids flying off in the pirate ship to Disneyland.

The HKDL one was kind of creepy what with the dolls coming alive and all that.

                    Re: Disneyland Commercial?

I don't think it's an issue at all to not say or show Disneyland until the end of the commercial. The commercial is a feel good/cute warm fuzzy from the begining, it then pays off by showing you the feel good thing WAS in fact Disneyland. It connects whatever good feelings you get from the commercial in the begining to the product (Disneyland) at the end. That first commercial works great for me.
