I've bought some wine glasses from company D that were used... $2 for reidel glasses is a damn good price. I bought like 20 of them.

I shouuld wonder back to Company D and see what they have. Even if it has taken a beating, there is a good chance you can find a hidden gem.

I bought a former rental car and I've put over 100k miles on it. Still running great.

I've seen some of it for sale at Company D for CM's to buy, but not a lot. They had some dining room tables and chairs from Club 33 for a while, but it was all in pretty bad shape. Like someone said earlier, hotel furniture takes a beating. (like rental cars - wouldn't buy one of those either)

It's funny how I've never really considered what happens to old hotel furniture before. But it does make sense that there would be places like where some of you have mentioned. I'll have to look them up the next time I want some furniture. It's good to know that Disney is donating the tubs and some of the money from sales to charity. And I don't blame them for offering the furniture to Cast Members first. Family first . I hope there're some left overs when the CM's are through. There are a couple of items I remember from a stay that I wouldn't mind purchasing. A few years ago, I purchased an armoire/dresser over the internet that's originally from the Wilderness Lodge at WDW. The price was right but the shipping from Orlando, FL to California cost me a small fortune. Anyway, it's one of the best pieces of furniture I have in my small studio apartment.

We stayed in one of the DLH Bungalow's on the last night that they were available. We used to always request a room in that section.

During our next trip to the Hotel, we saw an auction house truck loading up furniture and fixtures.

A tear fell from our eyes that day...

lets hope that the artists rendering of the disneyland park is restored in lithograph form and placed on the wall(s) of the hotel room(s). if not, it should be offered as an item available for purchase.

I'd love to have one of the big dressers that held the TV and refrig. Great graphics of the original Disneyland map on the front. And a bedspread would be great with the ride motif on it!

it makes sense to sell the old furniture and recoup some (or all ) of its current value. otherwise to just "throw out" the old would mean the loss of quite considerably a lot of money, money of which might possibly offset(or in the least make a deduction off of) the cost of refurbishment for the hotel and the surroundings

The deals and quality is always subject to what hotel they just got items from. NOTE: this is not a thrift store, their prices are not swap meet prices, but the quality of the furniture is good.
There's also one in LA. I know, because we bought several pieces of furniture from there. Very well built stuff, it is.

From the OC Register and their Around Disney Blog-

Disneyland Hotel rooms get makeover - Around Disney : The Orange County Register

All of the old bathtubs will be donated to Habitat for Humanity, while the beds and furniture will be offered to cast members at a highly discounted rate with proceeds donated to local charities.

The furniture is probably going to either the Company D employee store or to furniture resellers. I'm sure a fair amount is donated to places like Goodwill as well. A lot of the furniture is probably too beaten up to sell, though. Hotel furniture takes a lot of abuse.

It's hard to believe Disney would simply throw it all away when they could make money selling it at auction or at a giant parking lot sale. I know I'd buy some. Any thoughts on what's happening to the old hotel room furniture?
