  • News Disneyland is diverting

Disneyland has been on "divert" mode since around noon today. If you go to the park now, you will only be allowed to buy a ticket to go into DCA and then over to DL after 7:30 tonight. Its a zoo.

Annual pass holders are being allowed access to DL if you can stand the crowds. This info changes moment by moment so since its now around 2:45 here, this could be worse, better or the same.

I would anticipate Wednesday being more of the same.

Look for the park to get shut down toward the evening hours, especially right before the parades and or fireworks. Better get that hand stamp, people.

I thought AP'ers were cut off before ticket sales.

Not surprised. It's probably going to be this way for the next week, since this week (and upcoming weekend) is the last weekend for Christmas decorations to be up.

That's good, even though it's too bad for people who are there today and don't go often. But that should help ensure that the DCA funding continues to flow. They want to avoid this happening so often and they've finally realized that the only way to fix the situation is to make people actually want to go to DCA. It hopefully will also inspire them to add a few people eaters to DL as soon as they can.

I've always wondered, do APs have to get handstamps? I never have because I figure they have my picture on file and they've never stopped me so I assume the answer is no. heheh.

I know I'm not the only one who saw this thread's title & had an Austen moment: "Yes, I find the Disneyland Resort quite diverting."

                          Yeah Baby!

(after I read it, I decided the title was lame but I don't know how to change it and didn't really try that hard. )

When its busy you should. If 'n they close the park and you don't have a hand stamp, "YOUR OUT"

This is why my family stopped visiting DLR for New Years. We went for about 6 years in a row... from the 29th to the 1st... and it is crowded crowded crowded. This year we're trying January 11th- 14th... hopefully most kids are back in school and the holiday rush is gone by then. We'll see.

I find the title perfectly adequate, even if this thread's society is a little less varied than in town.

You know what's weird? Donald Duck never wore pants. But whenever he's getting out of the shower, he always put a towel around his waist. I mean, what's that about?

Less varied? Not at all. I enjoy chatting with at least three and twenty MCer's of all shapes and sizes.

When it's uber crowded, there will be signs up as you leave suggesting that EVERYONE get a handstamp, even if you have an AP. If you have an AP and they close the park to hand stamps only, you're out of luck without that stamp. Under normal conditions, you don't need the stamp. It's just when the park gets close to full that they require it.

They forced me to get a hand stamp two weeks ago as I was leaving when I repeatedly told them I was going home and wouldn't be coming back in later o.O
