Re: New Firework Show - Disney's Once Upon A Dream
I really like your ideas, MarkusMadness. It's a shame you aren't working for Disney at the moment because they seem to be trotting out the same things this year rather than coming up with something new for the 55th. I hope things work out for you to work there at some point.
And "Celebrate A Hot Mess" has a nice ring to it.

For the OP, sounds like an official fireworks show! Wouldn't be surprised at all if this was just announced tomorrow! You even have all the scenes and music thought out too, I'm sure it took you a while to type.

Re: New Firework Show - Disney's Once Upon A Dream
I don't feel that it would work as a Fireworks Show and seems much more fitting for a stage show. I see you got some clear inspiration from Dreams Within but Fireworks seem to have a much more limited affect in story telling. Variety shows are great but ones that tell a story with Fireworks, not so much.

Anyways I like the idea from the show but maybe putting some classic Disney princess songs in the ending to replace the Hercules song.

Re: New Firework Show - Disney's Once Upon A Dream
Her idea is wonderful, just not as a firework form. Fireworks are quite limited to color and shape, you can't do much storytelling with that. However, as a stage show in perhaps the Fantasyland Theater it would be great.
Also, the Disney sequels are low budget ways for Disney to make some dough. If Disney does not want to make a quality sequel worth putting in theaters, then it is by no means worth putting in Disneyland.

Re: New Firework Show - Disney's Once Upon A Dream
I like the concept, but not the name. It's always some form of Dreams Come True or Believe in Magic or Wish Upon a Star. What about fireworks shows like Sorcery in the Sky? I like names like that
IC- Lion King 2 isn't that bad... but I agree most are very cheap. For example, they should of never touched Cinderella.Last edited by Imagineer Scott; 12-31-2009, 11:01 AM.

"That's How You Know" from Enchanted
"So This is Love" from Cinderella
"Beauty and The Beast" from ... duh.
"Kiss the Girl" From Little Mermaid
and any of those songs can replace Can You Feel The Love Tonight.

Re: New Firework Show - Disney's Once Upon A Dream
Love the idea. Seems a lot better than any of the recent fireworks show.
My one complaint is the Little Mermaid section is filled with music from sequels (I didn't even know TLM3 existed hahaha) and the series... not a single song from the original?
He Lives In You is an exception because that song is fantastic.
Great idea. Hope you'll be working for Disney some day (although unfortunately a lot of us do :P)

Re: New Firework Show - Disney's Once Upon A Dream
I think this idea would be fabulous as a Fantasmic!, or World of Color type of show. That way it could incorporate some of the really awesome pyrotechnics that were part of your inspiration and also have a better platform from which to tell the story. Overall this is a great idea! I especially like the use of "I won't say I'm in love" one of my favorite Disney movie songs!
