  • [Pictures] Another Disneyland Photographer

I have been looking through all of the wonderful photography threads on this site and thought that I would throw my hat into the ring. I am fairly new to photography though I have been taking pictures for years. I am not as creative as others on here but I like to capture the feeling of the park. Hope you enjoy. Thanks for looking.

    Wow, great pictures!

Time for the same questions: what type of camera? lens? setting?

That's a mighty wide lens you got there. Good stuff. Welcome to the Disney Picture Takers Club (not that there is an official club).

What kind of camera do you have? I ask because that is very clear shot of the abominable snowman considering the speed of travel and available light. Is that and HDR of the Mark Twain?

Hey great job on the Matterhorn shots! I especially like the one where you got the bobsled going over the bridge.

That's definitely an interesting lens you got, makin' the castle look like it does in the maps.

                    I have a Nikon D90 with Sigma 30mm f/1.4, Nikon 18-105, 70-300 and my most recent acquisition is a Tonika 11-16 f/2.8.

The yetti/abominable snow may is not as hard as I thought and am still trying to get the perfect exposure. That is if you have a camera that can shoot at ISO 3200+ and an f/1.4 lens. That particular exposure is 1/160sec f/1.4 ISO 640 so it can be shot even faster. And to the second part of your question, yes the Mark Twain is a HDR. I have been playing with HDR on my not so great shots trying to make them usable.

I don't have any favorite settings, whatever makes a reasonable exposure for the situation.

Very true, what will work in one situation may not work in another.

Thanks for these wonderful shots, and please feel free to post more! I think the shot of the Yeti is my favorite. It's great to find another D 90 user on this board, and those sound like great lenses that you are shooting with. I have also been messing around with HDR lately and having some fun with it. Do you have a flickr account or a place where we can see more of your shots?

You're really good at it! There are quite a few highly talented photographers on this site and you're one of them. I like how each photographer has their own style, even with the same subject matter the photos from different photographers have different looks.

Thank you very much for the welcome. Yes I have been a lurker over the last couple of years but this year we have gone quite a bit (primarily because of photography) so I have been reading a lot more. I too am glad to find another D90 user as well. It is a very fun camera to learn with. I do have a flickr account but not very many photos. I have enough to last for awhile.
