"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Disneyland proudly presents our spectacular festival pageant of nighttime magic and imagination in thousands of sparkling lights and electro-synthe-magnetic musical sounds. The Main Street Electrical Parade!"
awesome, but that sound is in fantasmic, they couldn't thing of something more creative?
The sound or the song? The song is Night on Bald Mountain, which is a legitimate piece of music that was used in Fantasia, that's why it would be included in World of Color.
a.k.a. h2mc, omnimover.mousetalgia, omnimover, wumbology, hogbackmtn, hhmcsharry, Hale M., h2m, h2mc (I've never visited Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort, Disneyland Resort Paris, nor Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, so don't be fooled when I pretend to know what I'm talking about. [But I'm pretty good with the information, if I do say so myself. And you can hit me all you want with Walt Disney World.])
Such an awesome piece of music. I can't wait to see the show. Thanks for the link to this piece.
I personally would like to see how they transition a lot of this music as well as the show itself from scene to scene.
I was there backstage yesterday for an orchestra performance and they said they were recording for a new show in the parks in some backstage studios, so we couldn't practice in there. I wonder if it was WoC =o I even thought about that, but I didn't want to be rude and ask.
Aw man, there I was hoping this thread would include information about the orchestrators for this show's music. Just because I'm incredibly finnicky about musical terms, do you mind if I edit the thread title to "World of Color Recording Sessions!!!"? If I may be very anal for a moment, orchestration technically refers to the process of expanding a composer's condensed sketches into a full conductor's score, with all the proper markings and so forth. It happens to be something I'm very interested in, and although this video is very cool, it takes place after the orchestration process.
Whew...glad I got that off the chest. Although this'll probably go over about as well as when I brought up forced perspective on the JWfan forums...

Sorry but that is the London Based Orchestra recording in Abbey Road Studios in England......no where close to a Disneyland backstage area.
