  • [Chat] Why doesn't Cinderella have an attraction?!

    Cinderella is one of the most important, quintessential Disney movies. Young girls (and boys!) alike idolize the story, the princess, and Fantasyland is somewhat dedicated to the idealism of princess'. Cinderella came out in 1950, and would've been a perfect addition to the park (IMO).

    Why do you think there was never an attraction planned? Do you think they ever came up with the idea for one?

    BTW..They= Imagineers

          I guess by the time it came out, there was no more room behind the castle for Cinderella to have her own little nook. During the reno, the Imagineers must have thought that the concepts they had for the other classic tales were better translated into dark rides than Cinderella and therefor it did not warrant removing one to replaced.

            The story to me dose not really offer enough of the elements that would make a good dark ride compared to many of the other movies. I think the new Fantasyland walk-throughs coming to WDW/TDL are a better way to present the character.

              Agreed. Unfortunately I don't think the story offers enough suspense for a dark ride.
              But I think a little more Cinderella at Disneyland wouldn't be such a bad thing...??!

                    Yeah, this movie could use an attraction, but there are several popular movies that aren't represented. Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Jungle Book, 101 Dalmatians...etc. Yes Cinderella is older, but still it could be a while before we see this happen. Look how long it took Mermaid to get a ride.

                              Yep! And you can see it from Casey Jr, too. So that's 2 attractions. Just not one.
