  • News Earthquake [merged]

I'm in Northern California but have a lot of friends down in the So Cal area and I guess there was a 6.9 earthquake centered in Baja California, Mexico about 20 minutes ago. Is anyone in the park that knows what's happening? Any changes to the day?

Felt it here in Murrieta California. My family from the east coast enjoyed the ride.So glad we did not go to the park today. So how was it at the park?

Yeah, I live in Fullerton now, and I definitely felt it for about 20-30 seconds. It was definitely a long one.

      I still can't believe it though. 6.9? That's insane!

I don't live very far from the Park. It was a pretty good rolling and swaying for about 30 seconds - seemed a long time. I'm sure rides have been shut down to be inspected and then recycled.

same thing that happens every time. Attractions get shut down for safety procedures, stores get evacuated as well.

According to ABC news there are people stuck in elevators at Disney hotels. They were very vague.

                  Re: Earthquake [merged]

I definitely felt it in west LA - it didn't feel particularly strong this far from the epicenter, but I was surprised at how long it was.

And I've merged these two threads, by the way.

It was a wild ride here in San Diego.

I don't remember feeling one like this since the 90s.

Shook here in Huntington Beach. At least 30 seconds. It was rolling. It didn't jolt at all.

Up here in LA is was pretty much reduced to gentle shaking, but I definitely felt it and it was pretty long.

Is the park going to re-open later tonight? I have a hotel booked for tonight.

It was long enough and crazy enough that I went outside and stood in the middle of my street here in San Diego.

My car and the asphalt street were all rolling like we were in the ocean.

Absolutely amazing! Not a jolt like big ones in the past, but such a long rolling...
