I've been wondering for years why the Star Wars Weekends of DW have never made it West Coast to the original park. There are certainly no lack of fans. Anyone else hoping that if not sooner, the Star Tours updates will finally give the ride the boost it needs to bring this celebration to us?

I agree, I would LOVE for a SSW at DL. I do think at a previous star wars weekend in Orlando during a q and a somebody asked if it was coming to the west coast and they replied "were working on it". Or something like that.

That would be a nerds dream come true... and when I say that I would be one of the many people to be there trying to get my picture with a Wookie, Jawa, stormtrooper, or Ewok!
In essence... its a dream come true for myself! Something I would need to drive out from Arizona forAdd me... I dont bite LOL!

I think that would be cool.... AND pretty crazy. Perhaps if they can get the Star Wars Celebration to the Anaheim Convention Center, that could be a good time to get that going.

I've always thought that a DLR version of SWW would have to be split between both parks with most of the events at DCA, but now with the expansion and the for sure larger crowds the event may just be to big for the resort to handle anytime soon.

As a gigantically large Star Wars nut, I would LOVE for Star Wars Weekends to come to the DLR. I've always wondered why only Florida gets them. Hopefully before long it'll actually happen. Star Tours was actually the biggest draw for me when I first visited Disneyland in 2007. Then I discovered how wonderful the rest of the park was as well.

Let's think of the logistics for a second. In Tomorrowland we got the Star Tours, Star Trader, and Jedi Training Academy. Space is already quite limited so the bulk of the celebration would probably have to be in DCA sadly.
....or if they could find a way to empty Innoventions for a month to house Star Wars props and displays, that could be a pretty cool location as well.
The 2nd floor of Starcade could also be a good location for something else and if they had to do a film presentation like they did in Florida, the Captain EO theater could be a good space for that.

I hope so! It's be a great event for sure! I'd definitely be there, finances permitting hahaAll this has happened before, and it will all happen again. But this time it happened in London. It happened on a quiet street in Bloomsbury. That corner house over there is the home of the Darling family. And Peter Pan chose this particular house because there were people here who believed in him.

A couple of years ago at a SW Breakfast, LFL Ambassador Steve Sansweet was asked about SW Days at Disneyland. His reply was "We're working on it." He then indicated that it would happen...just a matter of everybody getting it worked out. Here's hoping.Originally posted by migoI poop with joy!
