  • [Question] What are some cool in the park hidden stuff?!

I always hear about hidden mickeys and stuff, but i also hear there is hidden bathrooms, walkways, hidden character stuff or mystery stuff on the rides etc etc

I couldnt find the thread for this so i figured id start a new one

EXAMPLE: Did you know on the Haunted Mansion at the dinner table scene there is a crack in the hidden glass right in front of you towards the end of that scene!! SsSssooOOo they put a spider as a decoration to cover the crack bcuz removing that glass would be impossible as it is underground ?! crazzy haha

SO YEAH! Im just curious about cool little stuff like that due tell

It's my understanding that the "crack" you speak of is actually a bullet hole.

The glass is not underground, it's inside the HM show bulding. But it is so large, it would require a helicopter to replace. Hence the spider covering the damage.

^ Yup, bullet hole. But the glass isn't underground - it's inside a large building. The glass does extend into the basement level, though. [EDIT: Beaten to the punch! ]

A similarly cool "Easter egg" to look for is the skeleton in Indiana Jones wearing a Mickey Mouse hat with the name Bones on it. You want to look behind and to the left as you turn into the mummy chamber...he's back there. Helps if you find some photos of him first, because then you know exactly what you're looking for.

The one thing that always catches my attention is the old Fantasyland Skyway station hidden behind some trees. I loved that ride as a kid. Especially when you go through the Matterhorn. You can easily spot it when riding Casey Jr. Circus Train.

As you walk along the Rivers of America heading away from Frontierland and towards New Orleans Square, get as close to the river as possible (this is easier when the construction barrier isn't there) and look towards the rooftops of New Orleans. Lurking 'behind' those buildings are the masts of a schooner docked at New Orleans harbor. The ship isn't actually there, just the masts as a theming effect.
Also in New Orleans Square, Club 33 is not actually above The Blue Bayou as most people assume it to be. In fact the entrance to the Club is next to the Bayou, but once you enter you cross a enclosed bridge over Orleans Street to the ACTUAL club which is located above Cafe' Orleans.

                  Thanks Tom. Very good info.

The biggest well kept secret is Farley the Fiddler, who performs/hangs out at the Davy Crockett Pioneer Mercantile at the entrance to Frontierland, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, 2:30, 3:30, 4:30, and 5:30, Monday thru Friday.

Spend 10 minutes with Farley, and you will take home a lifetime of memories.

The secret bathroom is nice but how about that secret water fountain, oh man, that is the best kept Disney secret! I hear they use water imported in from the Fertile Crescent located between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, how awesome is that?!

Have you ever heard of "Hidden Mickeys?"

The three circles that make the logo that we all worship?

As rumor has it, in 82, Mickey Mouse was not part of the displays and reach of EPCOT Center. So the imagineers hid away, on several rides, those three circles--et viola, a tradition was born.

Now you're wondering, why are we talking about WDW? Because the tradition continues to this day on many of the attractions. Take a look for a large golden plate on POTC with two smaller saucers above it; the wall of the fort has three cannonball holes also in the shape of the familiar head.

I'll see if I can find a website for you where people post their findings and discuss this wonderful quest!

                          Peace,
                          Roo
