Oooh... you missed it. Someone already made this thread.

Ah, well. That's cool! I hope our DVR recorded it. It's great that they are letting the characters be their characters: geeks in California, and they appreciate the Disney as much as we do. I wonder if they're on MC?

[But I'm pretty good with the information, if I do say so myself. And you can hit me all you want with Walt Disney World.])

Strange Reference to WoC on TV

Just watched tonight's episode of The Big Bang Theory, and strangely enough, a joke where Sheldon says: "We even went to go see the new California Adventure Water Show, it was magical!"

Does anybody think it is strange that the episode was probably aired months ago, and the creators might have been thinking that WoC would be done by now?

Anyways, it was funny, and a bit strange and random.

I thought tonight's episode was new....though that means it was just written ages ago and could have anticipated it...

I understand that, but it's funny how the creators would think WoC would be done by now. Probably not good in turn for Disney, as some people may get the wrong idea that WoC is already out.

More interesting: the episode was delayed from its original air-date two weeks ago.

It was probably written in January or February, and back then it was still set for a May opening. But yeah, they were jumping around the usual Disneyland humor (kind of lame "Sheldon is Penny and Leonard's custody child" shtick), then when they mentioned WoC my eyebrows hit the ceiling.

Chuck Lorre makes his writers do research.

Smart of the writers, just didn't work out for them with the June release of WoC. Staying topical is good, but the real WoC/Disney joke wasn't amusing.

Hey at least its one of the few times a sitcom mentioned DCA without making fun OF it.

It only took 9 years for that to happen lol.
