  • Sleeping Beauty Castle Question.

Okay, so this may have been asked many times before, but I am new to this forum and I am curious. Are they going to finish painting the castle at all? I go to Disneyland nearly every week and every time I look at the Castle, I almost think it would have been better not to paint the top half at all rather than have a two-tone castle.

I was under the impression it was completed, could be wrong though.
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

Cinderella's Castle is in the Magic Kingdom in WDW, Florida.

      Disneyland's castle is Sleeping Beauty's.

I think the front looks good. Aren't they just working on the sides... By Matterhorn and behind Pinoc's.

You're right, my mistake, our castle is Sleeping Beauty's. and if it is done, then it doesn't look too good since the bottom half is still faded, it looks completely two toned.

I thought they were "Cinderella Castle" and "Sleeping Beauty Castle" without any posessive " 's " ? Kind of like "King Arthur Carousel"...

Yeah, no possessives. Oh, and I changed the thread title. But, um, yeah the castle is completely painted. And frankly, I don't know what you mean about the bottom half being faded. The stone bastions are as vibrant as they've ever been in Disneyland history. It's the upper storeys that have been painted, in areas such as the tallest spire, with a two-tone effect that recalls the horrible paint-fade effect of the Pressler years.

I'm pretty sure the DL Castle is done. I don't mind how it looks in the daytime, it's the "soothing and coating" pink lighting at night that I really don't like...

So then, when are they going to finish with all the added gold frills and trims. Cinderella Castle at WDW seems to be done from pics that I've seen, and it's not even her birthday.
You would think that being in New York for eight months out of the year would be cool...not when the closest thing you have to Disneyland is the World of Disney Store on Madison.
