Okay, so this may have been asked many times before, but I am new to this forum and I am curious. Are they going to finish painting the castle at all? I go to Disneyland nearly every week and every time I look at the Castle, I almost think it would have been better not to paint the top half at all rather than have a two-tone castle.

Yeah, no possessives. Oh, and I changed the thread title. But, um, yeah the castle is completely painted. And frankly, I don't know what you mean about the bottom half being faded. The stone bastions are as vibrant as they've ever been in Disneyland history. It's the upper storeys that have been painted, in areas such as the tallest spire, with a two-tone effect that recalls the horrible paint-fade effect of the Pressler years.

I'm pretty sure the DL Castle is done. I don't mind how it looks in the daytime, it's the "soothing and coating" pink lighting at night that I really don't like...Honor those who fall under the sword.
But pity the warrior who has slain all his enemies.

So then, when are they going to finish with all the added gold frills and trims. Cinderella Castle at WDW seems to be done from pics that I've seen, and it's not even her birthday. You would think that being in New York for eight months out of the year would be cool...not when the closest thing you have to Disneyland is the World of Disney Store on Madison.
