  • Was TOWER OF TERROR suppose to be in Disneyland?

I was reading an old eMuck interview with Al Lutz and this was the question...
    original post found here... http://www.micechat.com/forums/showthread.php?p=330328

I never heard of this before! And from the fate of ToT it seems they might have changed the DL Geyser Mt. plans at the last minute when they realized their little DCA idea didnt pan out (e.g. low attendance, no rides, poor theming, etc.). It would be great to see something worth-while along big thunder trail. Something permanent and exciting.

Anyone else know anything about this? Any concept pics?

Geyser mountain idea had been roaming around for years. It was not a last minute change to add it to DCA. TOT was already planned as a second phase attraction for DCA before the park even opened. The geyser mountain idea had been dead for awhile and it was just an interent rumor like fire mountain.

I heard the TOT ride concept was being considered in the thunder ranch area long long time ago. The ride would be something like dropping down a mine shaft. I never heard of the name though.
My campus elevator smells like burned hair and won't drop faster than the pull of gravity, no matter how much I scream.

The gyesers would 'propel' the train up, creating the freefall idea
