  • [Idea] food and wine festival

So now that Disney has announced the dates for the 2011 food and wine festival anyone else surprised that the festival will not happen in 2012?

I know that 2012 will be busy with the opening of Carsland and BVS but it seems like it would also be the bets time to boost the word of mouth for the festival. The park will most likely have plenty of new guests that year for CarsLand.

If they start planning it early i am sure they could come up with some interesting things to tie the new festival with the opening of BVS street.

Of course there will no longer be room in the hub for the large tent so a new location needs to be determined. Maybe they need to consider the backlot stage as the place for the main venue.

I do hope that they start making the event bigger though.

I am also hoping that after 2012 they consider also premiering a Flower and Garden festival. I have a feeling the Disneyland resort horticulture could come up with some awesome ideas for an event like that in DCA

    Re: food and wine festival

Ok, I just reread the press release and I see nothing in there that states there is no festival for 2012. Can you please point out where Disney has said there is no festival in 2012?
