  • ToonTown?

Do you like it or hate it with the fire of a thousand suns!

I really like the idea of ToonTown but for the most part it just makes me mad. Every time I go there its super packed and there are no really fun rides there. Rodger Rabbit makes me sick and the Go coaster is about 40 seconds long, INCULDING THE LIFT TIME! Lot of parents yelling at their kids for trying to have fun (That's not what Disneyland is about). And on top of it all it kinda depresses me when I get to the end of DL. The whole place is just really stressful for me and I really like to find out of what you all think of TT. Please limit the "It's for the kids" replies, I'm a kid (at heart) too you know!

Great concept, and they pulled it off. But it is to geared towards kids and not enough towards everyone.

I think it was a bad idea to theme a whole land off of a movie that your company didnt create. I love jessica rabbit, she is one of my favorite toons but I dunno.

Even with four kids, TT is the least requested place to go on our trips to the Park. Haven't been on Roger Rabbit in years (nothing to do with the poor kid that was killed). Too long of a wait.

Shortly after it opened we stood in line for the coaster for 45 minutes. I started timing the ride and was shocked that it lasted less than 45 seconds! That was the last time that we rode that if there was any sort of line wait.

We mostly use TT for their restrooms and the freeze drinks (when they are open). And at Christmas time for the family photo with the X-mas Mickey.

 That's such a great line for so many reasons.

As for toontown. I like the atmosphere and looking at everything and I love the RRCS. But other than that I can do without it. I think it focuses too much on the kids and leaves out the adults, which I don't think was Walt's goal for DL.

walts goal was to make everything friendly for children and for adults......most of the rides and themes since the 80's has ditched that for cheap thrills that will bring in money for just a short period of time.

I like it...Car Toon Spin is a lot of fun and the overall theming of the land is FAR superior to Toontown Faire at Disney World...

I just think it's alot of space that could be used in such a better way. They could have put another e-ticket ride back there. That would make fantasyLand unstoppable. With the power of fantasy and two, count um, two e-ticket rides, FantasyLand would rule DL with an iron fist!

When I took my kids the first time we did not even find Toontown until the last day. It just was not very important- now that Rose is a bit older she really likes it and I make it a bit higher priority.

what're you talking about? Disney worked to create Roger Rabbit, the thing is that Disney doesn't OWN the character the guy who created Roger Rabbit does

anywho I love toontown and I think it does have things to offer older people

it's the only childish darkride me and my cousins will still go on, Roger Rabbit is so well done and fun that you can ride it and not feel ashamed about it the way you might be as an older kid if you go on something like Peter Pan :P

They still could. Isn't there some bare space inbetween toontown and the Fantasyland theater? I think it'd be cool to incorporate a ride that includes Mickey, Goofey, etc. Or even an extravaganza of ever disney cartoon. I have no clue what kind of ride it could be...but anything is possible in DL.

It reminds of Seuss Landing (or whatever its called) at Islands Of Adventure. Whimisical, but not much to do there.

That'd be cool. But I wonder how something like that would work?

Disney doesnt have anything to do with that movie, it wasnt created via Disney it's self. If you go into the Animation dept over at the studio and walk into the store room for the turn arounds and such, nothing from that movie is even in there. -___- And they have every disney animation done in there.

We rarely visit TT. Ali is not a fan of the Cartoon Spin, and neither she nor Brian will go on the Go Coaster. The only thing they ever want to do is stand in the annoyingly long lines to see Mickey Mouse, which we only do a couple times a year.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

they should add mickey's Philharmagic back there...bring something that would attract adults and young ones....

I think it would be cool if some of the other buildings there had stuff to do in them..except that's impossible cuz there's an access road back there for backstage...and not much space to expand out...

All of a sudden I began to change
I was on the dance floor acting strange
Flapping my arms I began to cluck

My daughter always asks to go on the Go Coaster, but it doesn't take much to talk her out of it......I personally, can't stand the place, but the kids sure seem to have a good time.

I'd love to see it either go away, or be more inclusive. Someone always used to yell at me any time I'd suggest putting the Nemo dark ride in Toon Town rather than wasting my lagoon. It was always, "If you KNEW what Toon Town was all about, you'd know Nemo is even worse there than Tomorrowland."

First of all... no. Nemo's a toon, why can't he be in the town? Stick him in the fountain.

Second... if I, a confessed Disneyland nut, don't know what Toon Town is all about, who does?

I'd be fine with bulldozing some/all of it, and maybe replacing it with a Great Toon Ride. Otherwise, I just have no compelling reason to go there.
