  • The Disney Decade

Can anyone give me a comprehensive, complete list of everything that was supposed to happen due to the Disney Decade? Or even a link to a website that does? I am interested in things happening outside DLR as well, but seeing as DLR is the leading Walt Disney Resort, well, I couldn't think of another board to post this thread on. Thanks.

What exactly is the Disney Decade? Have never heard this mentioned before!
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

I would love it if there were the color version of this somewhere on the net:

I can say part of the reason this never came to be - The size of the facade way too big to fit in between the carousel theater and Space Place restaurant entrance.

I remember when Eisner announced this whole "Disney Decade" thing and I was so excited about it all, yet hesitant. I mean even then I thought a "Young Indy Jones" attraction and a Dick Tracy ride were a little odd. Can you imagine the short lifespan those attractions would have had had they came to fruition?

How about Alien Encounter & Plectu's Fantastic Galactic Revue? Oh .. and Timekeeper/Le Visionarium .......

Alien Encounter in it's original form is now gone at WDW ..... we would be "Stitched" by now, had it been built. And LeVisionarium has been wiped off the map as far as the Tokyo and Paris "magic kingdom" parks are concerned .. and it's just barely alive in WDW.

The thing about "Plectu" ... what songs would the aliens sing? New songs Disney would have made from scratch that may have come off (UN)memorable .... or borrowed from past composers much like America Sings?

I'll tell ya ...... I think had Tomorrowland:2055 been built as planned for 1995 completion ...... 10 years later (now) .... all old-hat.
