My friend is a skipper there she says there will be a new scene added somewhere along the ride, but it will remain in tact otherwise and all the animatronics are being fixed, upgraded or repaired, similar to Tiki...but of course all of this isn't nearly as cool as the return of the guns...dang thats sweet!
lol they brought them back because Eisner came to the park and was talking to some of the guys that worked on Cruise, making a comment about how cool the guns were........ they told him they were banned LOL he didnt even know that and it was said he was the one that banned them LIES LOL So all of a sudden they came back. I love it when eisner looks stupid
Evil is lurking behind the matterhorn........ wait, that's just Mickey :ap:
I am still pretty bummed that you will no longer be able to see the Jungle Cruise from the Indy line. That was always fun and the skippers had some sayings specifically for the people exiting or waiting in line for the ride. Too bad.
Cosmo Kramer: Well I can't go back to the public courses now! I can't! I WON'T!
I know they're tearing out most of the dead bamboo from around the attraction. It's a HUGE JOB! They will be replacing most of the planters with indigenous plants from around the world. It should be pretty cool when done!

I understand they are adding a "rain forest" area to the ride, right out of the docks, where IJatTotFE area is. Also, that they are really doing a number on the plants so that the plant life is consistent with the supposed geography of the various scenes.
I thought the sign was hilarious....just like when you pass the African veldt and the "I don't know those ones, they must be gnu" or "gnu, gzibras, glions, and gvultures." It's nice to see how the sign was made using a joke from the ride.
Its looking promising, at least it will be nice to get better vegitation and newer or refreshed scenes DisneyInsider said that the imagineers are worknig to put their touch on the attractions as they go down for referbishment such as Jungle Cruise, Space Mt and Splash Mt, or as we have seen in Haunted Mansion and going to see in Tiki. and the new rides like Buzz.

The reason they brought back the guns was that the national gun law expired. Originally when the law was in place the guns were considered politically incorrect. But now that the law has expired it's PC again.
That will be an awesome update. It's like we all are getting a brand new Disneyland for the 50th. God I love Matt!!!!!!!
I was back there today and saw that the crews are already hard at work removing bamboo, dead trees, and other non-indigenous plants. There is a large wood-chipper backstage that is enveloping stuff by the boat load. The idea is to clear as much of the old/dead plant matter as possible and put new plants that are indigenous to asia/africa etc. It should look great.
