A few of the best books on Disneyland are:

Disneyland: Inside Story by Randy Bright

Disneyland; The Nickel Tour by David Mumford, Bruce Gordon

      On Walt:

The Magic Kingdom by Steven Watts

Walt Disney: An American Original by Bob Thomas

Wisdom Magazine (1959) "The Wisdom of Walt Disney"

      On Walt Disney Animation:

Disney Animation: The Illusion of Life by Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston

The Art of Animation by Bob Thomas (original edition only)

The Disney Films by Leonard Maltin

The Haunted Mansion: From The Magic Kingdom To The Movies

Pirates of The Carribean: same subtitle

Both are by Jason Surrel, I believe, and he also has a book about the Disney "mountain range" in the theme parks (Big Thunder, Matterhorn, Splash, Everest).

All these are very good if you want more info on those specific attractions, and have a lot of images and "inside information"

If you can find issues of E-Ticket Magazine, they were wonderful! (I know, they aren't a book, but well worth finding!)

Dear Peoplemover Fans, If you want to see a new attraction that at least mimics the 1967 Peoplemover in a future Tomorrowland remodel, you need to write to the powers-that-be, and let them know. If you don't - Then the next time Tomorrowland is remodeled, you will see a land barren of any "Peoplemover" type attraction.

I have a book called "Little Known Facts About Well Known Places: DISNEYLAND." It's a pretty interesting little book!

It depends on your interest. Are you interested in history? Design philosophy? Specific attractions? Hidden Mickeys? Behind-the-scene stories? Business practices?

What specifically about Disneyland do you want to study further?

For any one who's read both Mouse Tales: how does the second book compare to the first?

Disneyland Through the Decades is another good one if you're interested in seeing uncommonly seen pictures. Good write-ups, too.

The Disney Mountains: Imagineering at it's Peak....
that book talks about all the mountains around all the parks and the ideas that inspired them..(plus surprising facts here in there about various ideas..I.E Michale Eisner wanted a statue of Darly Hannah in mermaid form, to promote the movie Splash right in Splash Mountain)

I really liked The Animated Man: A Life of Walt Disney. Obviously, it's not solely about Disneyland, but it does cover the development of the park in depth.
