    POTC: Question!!!

    OK so in the ride when you are passign the auction for "wenches" it seems as if the captain yells to the red head "Show em yer larbored side". I know this is in reference to a nautical term. Does that mean rear? Or right or left side?

    Any answers out there? :confused:

    According to this source , the "Larboard Side" is another name for the port side.

        The port side is the left side of the ship, the starboard side is the right side of the ship.

        I would guess that "larboard" is slang for starboard.

              The larger woman is who he's talking to. The red head is next in line.

                man shes been waiting in that line for a long time, the sad part is that splash mountain's wait is only slightly less.

                  Yep. He says that because the guys are shouting "What? are you selling her by the pound?" So I assume he's talking about her rear end when saying that. At least that's how I always thought of it.

                                I think it's funny that an 18th Century Pirate would use a term that I've only heard in reference to WW2 battle ships and Carriers.."Superstructure".

                                  I beleive the superstructure part is referring to the redhead and her vamping the guys across the way, and if I am not mistaken the term refers to showing the metal brace thing they used in dresses at the time to keep their shape. Except I think its a more of a slang term for it, with the meaning not to show too much under the clothes (at least not yet ).

                                  As I understand the scene; the auctioneer is trying to sell the larger lady, but meanwhile the redhead is vamping the guys at the same time.
