  • [Fun] Fun with Music...Disneyland/DCA Version!

    :meet: Hello MiceChatters!
I've been a "Hidden Mickey" (never did like the term "lurker") for a while and realized all I gotta do is JUMP! Once I get my most recent photos uploaded I will make an attempt at a TR, but for now, baby steps...

So here goes nothing (everything?) for my very first MiceChat post...inspired by Disney's long list of musical jewels. Feel free to play along! It's easy, just choose a song from the glorious Disney catalog and connect it to something in the parks, either an attraction, show, memory, event, etc.! I couldn't stop at just one, I hope you enjoy! :music:

A Whole New World- Carsland 2012

God Help The Outcasts- Mission to Mars, People Mover, Motor Boat Cruise, Skull Rock, Circle-Vision, Swiss Family Treehouse, Country Bear Jamboree, Skyway to Tomorrowland/Fantasyland

    Topsy Turvy-

Yay! I was actually thinking about this the other day, but only in terms of non-Disney music.

        From the Disney catalog:

        - A Night on Bald Mountain: the Splash Mountain lift hill
        - Mickey Mouse Club March: Main St., USA
        - Listen with Your Heart/Colors of the Wind: Frontierland at dusk
        - Zip-a-dee-doo-dah: the park in general

        From my iPod:

        - Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros: Fantasyland
        - The New World Symphony by Anton Dvorak: Frontierland/Tomorrowland at night
        - Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin: Main St./Tomorrowland
        - Disneyland by Five for Fighting: Fantasyland
        - Scenic World by Beirut: the park in general

OMG I love it! Brilliant idea

Great Disney selection-Agree with you on the Bald Mountain-Splash drop turns my legs to jelly! MMCM, inspired for MS, USA, love the imagery of FL at dusk and right on with Zip-a-dee!

But the most fun was running to iTunes to hear your other choices! Hoppipolla sounds just like a vintage music box, reminds me of King Arthur's Carousel:gladsad: Beautiful! I love Rhapsody in Blue-wouldn't it be a hoot to hear it being played by the piano teacher's window on Main Street?! Had never heard 5 for Fighting song, the lyrics are so sweet (sometimes I think my bank account IS managed by Mickey Mouse!). Enjoyed Scenic World as well, thanks for introducing me to wonderful new music! Much appreciated! :music:

You've inspired me, gonna go dig through my iPod now!

Any time! Every once and a while I'll have my iPod on shuffle and will discover a song that reminds me of Disneyland. I'll make sure to update you if I find anymore
