  • Happy 10th Anniversary Indiana Jones!!

i cant believe that there is no thread about Indiana Jones's 10th Anniversary. on this special day, 10 years ago today. thats right all you Indiana Jones fans out there. the Indiana Jones ride opened 10 years ago today on March 3, 1995. i was actually at the park earlier today with my friend and we rode the ride. but the sad thing was while we were boarding and putting seatbelts on, my friend and i along with the cm's working the ride here a boom. so yeah the ride was down for like 15 minutes, but they let us stay there and not have to evacuate completly. there is a special event going on tonite at Disneyland to mark this special day for the Indiana Jones Adventure ride. so happy anniversary Indiana Jones Adventure!!!

Can't wait to hear about how tonight's even went!!

1995 was my last "dry spell" year. In other words no DL that year. I had a 3 year dry spell that ended in 1996(with two trips that year, my oldest son's first and second trips!!)

        Happy Birthday Indy!!

That's funny, I just finished watching Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade! Maybe I'll put on my Indy jacket and run around my apartment to celebrate.

            Or maybe not.

I can't beleive it was the "E" less decade. It's amazing to me (after being at the opening) that it's been 10 years since they've put an E ticket ride into DL.

Woo Hoo! Happy birthday Indy. I know WindPhyreDude went to the event tonight. I hope he took some cool pictures.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

I saw the line going into the park for the special event. They had cool ID tags on. I went on it today, I had forgotten about it until a CM came up to me and started talking to me about it. I found it odd until I realized I had my IJA hat on.

Am I like one of the few that liked the ride? I hated the line, but the ride itself was not that bad. It sure could of used some FX badly. I REALLY wanted at least the old "bed sheet and projector" tron room. But not even that?

I'm not saying that I hated the ride ... but for the wait it was FAAAR from worth it .... My mom went to the opening of Star Tours and said she waited SIX HOURS!!! I couldn't IMAGINE! The longest I have waited in reacent years at DL was either the wait for RR or the HMH wait which was only 3 hours .... (Last Day before school was back in session from winter break ... was a madhouse!)

Now that Indy's 10 years young maybe the Imagineers can figure out a way to give us the ride that premiered when it first opened. You know, the ride that would literally throw you around like you were in a real jeep. The current programming is just way too tame and predicatable.

I remember it well... the queue starting at the Penny Arcade... the AT&T decoder cards...no fastpass... ALL the effects working (including the dropping ice!) Those were the days.

Yeah I remember this, I remember getting yanked out of my seat on the bridge. I loved it, they need to bring that back. I really want to visit the one in Tokyo because they have the program we used to have.

Yes they had this for like a week and it looked like the ceiling was collapsing. Unfortunately it broke and was never fixed because the ceiling would have to be ripped out.
