  • DCA ride idea

It just came to me. I dont know if there is even room to do it but the area and the scenery of the area is perfect.

Rocketman - the ride! (bad title i know) I was thinking it would be a GREAT use for the robo-arm coaster design. and having AA versions of the rocketman flying around or directing the action like indiana jones. Or it could even be a dark ride in the peter pan sort of flying way. I could see the scenes now. The opening of an airplane taking off. the rocketman's initial flight, the end fight on the blimp and him saving the girl.

And the best part is it fits into the airstrip part of the park! that is if there is room for this sort of ride.

or is the movie to old now?

If you mean The Rocketeer, I think it's a great idea.

And you Lost fans should appreciate the ease with which they could get "Howard Hughes" to do some narration like Patrick Warburton did for Soarin' .......

Hey I support the idea and yes the theming is for sure there... that vintage 1940's feel is everywhere around that park its strange. Also the reason I enjoy DCA.

I seem to recall from Al's last update that a lot of that themeing (high desert test facility) is going to be taken out, replaced with an expansion of the "foresty" themeing of GRR and RCCT ...... I still like the OP's idea ....

yeah thats what made me think of the idea for the ride. the fact that the theming was changing. but i see a lot of potential for the area's theme.
