  • [Question] New Year Price Hikes Expected?

It seems to be an annual event that Disneyland admission and annual pass prices go up immediately after the New Year. Anyone have the inside scoop if we can expect the same next month -- or how much of a hike AP levels might take?

Isn't it rare for Disney to raise general admission prices in January? Since I've been going to Disneyland (admittedly just for the last couple of years), the price hike happens in August. Although it does sound familiar for AP's to raise more than once in a year.

Under the Walt Disney Company, price goes up twice a year to my memory - - right after New Years and end of Summer. Last year I think only the APs went up in Winter.

Anyone know how much AP's are expected to go up in this next round?

No one (here) ever knows. One day they go up, and no one posted here about it before that day.

Still hoping for, "AP purchases have been suspended. Current AP holders will be allowed one last renewal." They're running out of time if they want some kind of return on investment for Phase 2 of DCA.

Just trying to decide on renewal - - the price is getting to be a factor what with just walking around the park becoming increasingly hindered due to excessive crowding.

You're too nice.....I just want them to stop selling them altogether, hire new people who've never even heard of them so when someone tries to buy one all they get is a blank stare

You still have one? I thought you were on our side? The Rebellion?

If it goes up in price, simply go two more days than you had planned. That'll show 'em.

As much as you all hate annual passes, without the payment plan I would not be able to afford the outrageous 500 dollars or whatever they charge upfront to enter the park for an AP.

If you can make the monthly payments, why can't you put aside enough pocket change everyday (use a mason jar) and just save for the pass?

yep, if you can afford the payments then you can afford to pay upfront. Every time I hear this "logic" of if payment plans are gone I can't afford a pass..all I hear is " I can't afford the pass." Whether you make payments or pay upfront you are out the same amount of money.

I like the part where he doesn't know how much he spends on his AP in total, because with the payment plan he doesn't have to know.
