That's pretty cool! These vehicles combined with an updated setting would make a great, refreshed attraction.

Correction: What the Peoplemover should be like, except hundreds of them on the track.

Meh...for some reason I just think that would look really silly seeing those cars in Autopia.

I don't like it either. And I still wouldn't like them if they were on the PM track.

To me, they just seem way to tall for Autopia. Plus, it would detract from the height of the Monorail.

I can sympathize with people who don't like the look of these particular vehicles, but that could easily be changed.
                The underlying technology, though...
IT could be a good fit, replacing internal combustion with electric, and combining that with the use of "trackless" tech to give drivers limited control, with guidance systems preventing collisions or the urge to stray off-track rather than an obvious visible rail...
Definitely the potential for a much-improved version of the ride.
Doesn't have to be an IDENTICAL vehicle design to the one in the video above.

All i want is a new design for autopia.

The attraction should be introduced to the "green generation"

I would love to see Hovertopia. Now that would be awesome.

A new autopia should be electric and very futuristic similar to how the one in Hong Kong looks, I would also love an autopia that has a overide function that will bring the car to a stop at various points through the attraction, At each stop , guests would be dazzled by a animatronic scene or have a interaction based on the car they have... Think Roz from monsters inc.... It would be very high tech and very futuristic , and hopefully very fun The other option is to rip out Autopia since its not very futuristic to begin with and come up with a creative new attraction...

I like your ideas for this lightragic!

I've always said that there's nothing futuristic about carbon monoxide spewing cars. Sure, electric cars don't have the same power or "oomph" as traditional cars, but that can be "faked". Make the cars vibrate, add some sort of speaker to where the engine would be... they can make the sports cars actually SOUND like sports cars instead of all of them being riding mowers.

The animatronic scenes like with Roz would be a great plus. Anything to make people ride again! Although I'd be somewhat hesitant, but they could make the attraction look better at night with neon-ish lights along the raised parts of the track. Maybe make it seem more like a city scape with some off road-ish parts?

I haven't been on Autopia since the early 2000's, so I don't really have a reason to ride again.

I'm torn. I like the look and the idea of something futuristic in Tomorrowland (what a concept).

But I know, as a kid, I LOVED driving a car! I will have to ponder this a while...

Randy Savage came up with the idea of moving Autopia to Critter Country and theming it to the Country Bears.
