Crystal Arcade & The Storybook Store Are Open

No plush understock, and 'please break me' crystal lamps hanging precariously over them.
Pretty much everyone loves the toys section, but the plush section... I liked it better before. I hate these shelves, they need to have ledges and carpeting, otherwise its nearly impossible to keep those dolls upright.

On other mainstreet news- Newstand is open again, the annex in Showcase is not 2005 store for the time being, and the Mad Hatter will be closing shortly. Whether for a minor refurbishment (it's only like 4 days or something), or more than likely has to do with some knickknacks for the 50th exhibit that's right next door.

It looks like they took out the fabulous painting that was in the back of the Crystal Arcade.

They actually covered the painting that was in the back a few years ago with dart boards(games theme), but the pic with Walt is still behind the wall as far as I have heard. It is one of those things that in a few years when they remodel it again they will find it behind those shelves. I like the lay out it is very much the WDW MK type layout. It would be great to get pics from about 10 to 15 years ago (god I hope it was not more then that but I think it might have been) when the Emporium was lots of walls and the back section was still the locker area.

Funny how it takes them three years to refurbish space mountain yet it takes less then 3 weeks to refurbish the biggest store in DL

I am so thankfull that there are crazies ( sorry Mamabot) out there taking pictures of the inside of disney stores to my very own Crazy mind of wanting to see them

The Crystal Arcade and The Storybook Store are officially open for business once again. Both stores reopened yesterday. Both stores look quite different than they used to look.

I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail in each of the stores. I had never noticed the charcters in The Storybook Store before today. The train has a new track, but the train itself is still getting some finishing touches put on it, so it will be up and running in a while. The CMs seemed quite pleased with the new look. I was pleased with the new layouts.
