Rancho Del Zocalo. Atmosphere around sunset is unbeatable. On a clear warm night, with the colors of the sunset, the warm breeze, the scent of all the flowers, the incredible theme, the soft guitar music and those amazing lights they have... yeah. 'Nuff said.

A close 2nd place goes to Cafe Orleans patio dining. Watching the action on the Rivers of America... it just feels so real, like I'm right on the waterfront.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

While I like Cafe' Orleans, Ranch del Zocalo offers lots more options for dinner with a nice varied menu. Likewise the recorded guitar music playing softly and the outstandingly beautiful lighting makes it tough to beat.
Of course Club 33 has both beat, but I only get limited entry up there.
For lunch, we like to make reservations for the Carnation Cafe' for a chicken croissant sandwich.
Breakfast very early out of doors at the Riverbelle Terrace can't be beat.

I like eating at Plaza Inn. The pasta is very filling and the bread sticks are awesome. And the staff is just standing around waiting to clean up after you....I want to take them home with me lol

Re: favorite place to eat in the park

I'm going to exclude Club 33 from my favorite place at DL to eat, because that's like comparing a Ferrari to a Kia.

So with that in mind, my favorite place to eat at DL is Blue Bayou Restaurant. The fantastic musty smell of the water from POTC & candlelight atmosphere is by far the most intimate eating experience that can be had at DL, for sure.

But as far as counter service places go, I can't remember the place (and I know there are two places at DL that serve this) but the bread bowl w/the beef stew inside it. One of those, and I'm filled up all day long. And for what you get, it doesn't cost too much either.

Excluding Club 33? I guess Whitewater Snacks doesn't count b/c it's in the Grand Californian....

Blue Bayou is nice, but it's really the atmosphere that makes it special, otherwise, there are better places to get a steak.

I do love Cafe Orleans...... mmmmmmmmm........ Monte Christos........ mmmmmmm.....

Never understood the hype over Pizza Port, pizza is mediocre, pasta? Nah..... I'd rather have Mission to Mars back.......

Carnation Cafe is great - I hope they expand it and re-install the soda fountain part - besides, they have Oscar......... he's just great!

I, for one, vote that they bring back REAL cherry Coke. This may come as a shock to the younger generation, but before Cherry Coca-Cola came out on the market, the soda fountains of the world (and especially the one at Disneyland) gave you the option to add REAL cherry juice to your Coke....by FAR much better tasting. I just wish they'd still do that. You can buy Cherry Coke there still, but it's the premixed kind....ugh...
