We'll be adding to this thread throughout the day Saturday with photos of the 5th Annual MiceChat Gumball Rally at the Disneyland Resort.

First up though, we have some photos from the Pasta Party which was held Friday night at the Spaghetti Factory in Fullerton. Over 80 MiceChatters gathered to enjoy a pre-Rally carbo-loading dinner while sharing war stories from previous Rallies and comparing notes on strategies for this year's Rally.

Nice to see photos already posted from tonight! Was fun at the party so I'm sure tomorrow will be fun (even tho we've already lost a team member do to issues with his annual pass)

Aw Blue.... sorry your team shrunk.... I'll have to help you beat Dom later! :lol: But you and your brother represent team Technicolor Llama for the RCMC!!! :lmao: I know Josh's team will do the same!

Thanks for posting timely pictures for those of us who can't be there!!!!! I'd love to someday see a live stream of the after party at HoJo's!!

I am so happy to see the gumball rally coverage. This is the first time I have missed the rally and I am pretty upset about it. Maybe next year though. Anyways, on to the photos.

If only I had known when I booked our trip when this was going to be held we'd have come down a couple of days earlier. We'll be at the resort starting tomorrow afternoon.

Oh well. Perhaps for our next trip (when ever that ends up happening)

i was just at DCA, i saw Dustysage and Monorailman, and some other people (sorry can't remember your screen names) and i talked to a few spotters, it was so great meeting them!

I was one of the spotters, and I had a great time.

Line of the Day, heard from a non-participant as we were walking to the awards party: "I can still run! My feet are bleeding, but I can still run!" Somehow, I think all of us could relate to that one.

For those wondering what we are babbling about, it's an event hosted by Micechat in which teams compete to ride every ride in the Disneyland parks, with prizes handed out from Princess wigs to Disney cruises. The winner of the contest gets a special award of a custom made gumball machine.

The competing teams get a handout with questions to answer about each ride, and that's how it is scored. The rules are: you have to obey all Disney rules (no line cutting, no running, no pushing people out of the way coz you have a date with destiny), no mega-Fastpasses from previous days or from travel agencies, and no electronic device use. No cell phones, no blackberries, no TouringPlans line app. And we spotters had to keep an eye out for infractions.
