Have any of you chatters celebrated the holidays at Disneyland? How special was it for you and who did you celebrate it with? What part did you like the most during your holiday celebration at Disneyland?

No one has had a memorable Disneyland Christmas moment? Well my moment would have to be two years ago when I went with my friend and his family during mid december because it was my first time ever seeing Disneyland all dressed up for the holiday.

Unfortunately, my most memorable Disneyland Christmas was a nightmare I keep trying to repress!

However, Mom, a girl fiend and I are going in a couple of weeks and hopefully that will supersede all the bad stuff.

We go every Christmas but the most memorable was 4 years ago.

It was after the fireworks on Main Street, just as the lights came up and the snow started to fall - I was proposed to!

Re: Your most memorable Disneyland Christmas

Well i've had 2 most memorable that kind of entertwine with one another. That are both pretty opposite.

1st time:Waited on this bench at the end of main street from 7, till the fireworks at 9:30 or so. We were camping out be in the range of all the snow. ANyhoo The fireworks were AMAZING. But when the snow started pouring out, we realized we should have sat under one of the lamp posts since the snow was sputtering out of these black boxes. So yeah, we waited for nothing! noen of the of snow reached us

2nd time: We knew we had to be more strategic. We waited from 5:-9:30 this time at another bench. It was actually opposite from where we sat last time. But this time we sat under lamp that had the black box. Well, we totally MISSED the fireworks!!! they were canceled due to high winds. But then we got the snow this time.

I took my daughters for Christmas in 1991 the girls were 5 and 10 we stayed at the DLH and I took a table top tiny tree and decorated with all disney ornaments for our room, we had the buffet at the DLH grandball room on Christmas eve, they had ice skating at the hotel that year it was amazing and honestly not very crowded before Christmas day! We headed out christmas day around 2 ish after shopping at the store at the bottom of the monarail station and 1/2 off Christmas mdse was definitley my highlight!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The girls were amazed that Santa found them at Disneyland and left lots of Santa presents in our room for them on Christmas morning.

OK, I admit I haven't been to Disneyland at Christmas, just during the summer, and the earliest I can go is probably 2 to 3 years from now after I finish my BBA in 2007. Anways, I do try to listen to the Disneyland/Walt Disney World Christmas radio broadcast that's always on, both on Christmas eve and Christmas day.

My best memeory of a Disneyland Christmas so far would be taking my partner Scott to the park for his first time for the fireworks and snowfall. He had been joking that since his move to California from Chicago it just didn't feel like the holidays without snow. My best friend had told us to go to the end of Main Street, by Coke & the photo shop, and when the snow fell, we got caught up with all the music & sights and got all misty-eyed...we ended up turning our tickets into premium AP's that night!

I have not spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Disneyland....
                      but....
this year I was there from Nov. 12-20 and got to experience the holiday decorations, Christmas parade, HMH, IASMH, etc., for the very first time!!
I loved everything about it. A truly magical experience and one totally different from other times of the year. So glad I got to see it!!!

Someday I want to be there, with my kids and grandkids for Christmas...tree in the room....milk and cookies, stockings ... the whole experience!!

Happy New Year everyone!! May it bring many visits to the Happiest Place on Earth for all of us!!!

We had family in town, so we all went and stayed overnight at the DLH. It rained real hard, and it was crowded. It sucked.
That's my most memorable X-Mas holiday time DL experience.
