Wouldn't it be neat if they built an all new skyway that went from DCA all the way over to the Magic Kingdom? Your thoughts? It could go from Paradise Pier over to Fantasyland, or Tomorrowland....
Wow! from DCA to the Magic Kindom in FL???? That WOULD be amazing!
But, yes, it would be extremely cool if they built a skyway that crossed dca and disneyland. Great idea!
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
Marge: Pink.
Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"
Hope that's a high speed chairlift ... sheesh ....

Your thoughts?
1) ick.... skyway was ugly and the park is better with it gone...
2) How are you going to do ticket checks... Sorry, can't ride unless you have a hopper? This is why the monorail doesn't have DCA stops.
And do you just shut it down on days DL is at capacity...
Instead of slamming the idea, how about offering constructive criticism?
Many of those issues mentioned could easily be fixed. Obviously, the 'new skyway' would operate in one direction if DL was at capacity, and guests would only be allowed on with park hoppers. Why else would you use the skyway except to get from park to park. That would be the point.
Personally, Id love to see some wort of free park-to-park transport as if you have a park-hopper, it can be a hassel getting from one park to the other on high-capacity days.
What if the "buckets" were color desiginated for each park, that way those riding from DCA will simply float on through DL without stopping, and vice versa buckets leaving from DL. Each would be a round trip.
And there could be a special "bucket" for those that do indeed have the hopper tickets or annual passes that could stop in each park.
I think it's a great idea.

No, there are no DCA stops because they were to cheap to put one in. They used to have a deal where, for a couple bucks, you could get on the Monorail at the hotel stop and just ride it around. Ticketing issues didn't seem to be a problem then, why would they now? Just put a turn style at the exit to the station, if you get off and don't have the right media to get in, they put you back on the train. Problem solved.
It really would be nice to have some form of transportation from one park to the other. That walk from Paradise Pier to Small World is pretty daunting, especially if you've already been in the parks for several hours. I suppose a subway is a bit cost prohibitive (even if they had built it before they built the park on top) for such a short distance, but it sure would have been nifty.

How's this?
I hate every single thing about the idea.
Skyway was ugly, low capacity, and boring. The only time I enjoyed it was when I was 10 and could drop things on people, and when I was a teen and wanted a bit of unsupervised time with a girlfriend..... neither things I'ld like to see come back to DLR.
If walking across the park is a hastle, how is waiting in line for an hour with all the 10 y/o that want to drop stuff on peope and the teens that want to do nasty things going to be any less of a hastle?
How is showing people even more back stage areas a good thing? Oh look, Mickey on a smoke break.
How is stringing more big ugly wires and poles over the resort a good thing?
Okay...... I'll switch to being positive....
Well, I think it is a great idea if you can figure out a way to make it totally invisable and can block views of all backstage areas and can remove the need to worry about tickets and can make sure it never has a line and can make sure everyine on the ride is superviesed at all times and can make sure there is no liability risk of idiots jumping out then trying to sue Disney for damages..... If you can do all that, I love the idea.
That walk from Paradise Pier to Small World is pretty daunting
You know... sometimes I can't believe how lazy we Americans have gotten. Oh... it's a half mile... I can't walk that far.... Better get me one of those scooter thingies.
I wonder what theyre ever gonna do with the original fantasyland skyway station. It just sits there all day untouched. They should make it into a shop or sumthin. The Skyway Shop.

Better yet, how about a "ride" that tricks people into thinking it's a new E Ticket. They get in by the subs in TL, go underground on a roller-coaster type car, go around in circles under the park a few times, and get off in Paradise Pier. That would at least get more people in DCA, and get some people some exercise by making them want to run back over to DL...

  All I can say is wow That made my day..ok maybe not my whole day but my afternoon. Hahaha. Can you imaging what that skycar would look and smell like when they reach FL...aacckkk nasty.. "Oh sorry had to go somewhere"..hahaaha I say it wold take at least 4days to get there..hahaha the speed the orginal skyway was going..haaha But hey a monorail or bullet train would be dope.. A disneyline bullet train.. like the one in japan or is it tokyo. Well the one that goes 100+mph.
but to dca to dl would be awesome.. maybe a larger cabin to hold more people.. with windows so we dont ahve that problem of peole leaning over and falling out.. Bu tyah i like the idea to DCA-DL

Hey, how did you know?!?
Think about this: if we ever create molecular transporters (a la Star Trek) We could walk through a portal in TL in Anahaim, and exit a portal on TL Florida. Or Paris. Or Tokyo. How sweet would that be? And think of the ticketing nightmare THAT would create!
Talk about "Ultimate Park Hopper"!!
