  • [Fun] At-Home Imagineerging: Share Your Projects

Also, yes am aware of the stupid title typo...oh well. Any admins could fix at their leisure, much appreciated!

As I know for sure some other folks here have Disneyland-inspired projects and installations at home...share them here!

For me, my father and family have had a train layout in the backyard which has been developing over 5 years and is Western themed, with a definite desire to homage and get some of the feeling of the old western theme parks and Disneyland's frontier. As usual, it is still getting new elements and being perfected and tweaked. The "backstory" for the train layout itself is being a Western amusement park with attractions added to such in the vicinity of current Yosemite, if that wasn't a national park. The little western town of Porcupine Gulch is a lot of fun to work with, and of course, the structures (which we like to add to, both small and full sized) are an excellent canvas and starting point for the yearly Halloween display. Photos of that might come later, if is interest...for now, here are some photos and text, and hope other folks will share too!!

On the right, balancing rocks inspired by the Mine Train thru Nature's Wonderland at Disneyland, still needing finishing work and installation of the electrical spinning rock, and on the left, Old Smokey the volcano (with working fog machine hookup) inspired by Knott's

Hope you all shall enjoy, and look forward to seeing projects by other folks as available!
