  • News Mission Tortilla Factory Gone

    Hello,

Not sure if most of you know, but the Mission Tortilla Factory at Disney's California Adventure Park was officially shut down on June 2nd, 2011.

It is unclear to why this may have happened, whether they pulled out, or were at mercy of Disney. However, then outcome is clear... gone.

The windows now remain all blacked out, with the famous silos gone as well.

If you check in the Project Tracker for around that date, there's a lot of discussion about the why.

That's really sad; it was one of favorite things at DCA.

Here's hoping for freshly-made chocolate at the end of the tour (free even)! ^^

I'm not too sad it's gone. There's many better tortilla making places surrounding Disneyland, in restaurants, at Latino supermarkets, which are way better than Mission. I'm more looking forward to the Ghirradeli factory.
I am old. But still love Disneyland.

I second that. Chocolate is waaaayyyy better than tortillas.

Perhaps, but none of them gave out free samples to snack on in the park, did they? ;-)
