  • [Game] Hidden Mickeys!

The favorite game in Disneyland and at other parks and hotels is finding hidden mickeys. Steve Barret has a series of books for Disneyland, California Adventure, hotels, and WDW. His website, Hidden Mickeys Guide : A Field Guide to Walt Disney Worlds Best Kept Secrets is where you can send your own hidden mickeys to him. Most of them are already there, but it's always fun to prove you found it. There is a new one on Pirates of the Caribbean that he has not found yet! It's in the beginning right after you pass the alligator on your left, look to the right and find 3 lily pads by the restaurant connected. My favorites are on Indiana Jones and Winnie the Pooh. In the movie room on indy, ask a cast member to shine their flashlight where the Eeyore sign is. The Indiana Jones ride was built on the Eeyore parking lot, so in the back up in the rafters, you can hardly see a blue and white parking lot sign. You can try to find it from below it when you enter the room. I've actually seen it from below, but it's hard. Winnie the Pooh was built where Country Bear Jamboree was. It was a thater with animatronic hillbilly bears coming up from the stage and coming down on a swing. I saw it once when I was little (i'm almost 14) and I remember it. There were 3 animal heads on the wall by the door. Buff the buffalo, Melvin the moose, and Max the deer. They are still hanging around after the dream room. Look behind you and look up once you enter the room where you see Pooh in honey. Anyway, say what your hidden mickeys are. I might already know where they are and I might have seen them, but it's fun. Keep the game going!

[QUOTE]When hinges creak in doorless forums, and strange and frightening sounds echo through the forums, whenever candlelights flicker, where the forum is deathly still, that is the time when members are present, practicing their posting with Disney delight!

Welcome to the forum, MousEars! I think you'll find a good deal of hidden Mickey business discussed in the archives here.

One of my favorites is the rope coil on the dock at Finding Nemo. It's placed so as to be noticed not in the ride itself, but from the Monorail station.

Anyone noticed the Mickey on the very top of the flagpole of the animation building in DCA? It's barely visible without binoculars or the zoom lense of a camera, but it's definitely one that slips right by you.

Sorry about my reply, I was trying to make the quote that everyone has on the bottom of their entry to a forum. Remember, I'm new, so it's hard to get around.

Okay, here is one that is NOT in Disneyland, but I thought it would be cute to add here. It is right before the 101 Freeway where the 1 connects, north of Santa Barbara:

I like the Hidden Mickey speakers on Space Mountain! Just because when you point it out to people it's like soo obvious! And recently, I found one made out of rock formations outside of Thunder Mountain. It's pretty cool looking!

This one isn't at Disneyland, but was taken by me. I was eating my Subway sandwich and my sauce drippings created this masterpiece!
