NO, Why would I go to Disneyland just to play video games which I can do in the comfort of my own home?

Seeing as video games are interactive and Most rides are passive - No, I don't think that they'd make a good addition to the park. Add to this that many people don't Play video games (yes there are a few of us). I think you'd end up with a Buzz clone. There are only so many ways you can shoot.
I can see one way they could incorporate some video game action with a ride, and that would be to (at key points along the attraction's plot line) force you to make a decision. Your decision would then affect what followed, somewhat like TDL Pooh ride, more rider control/interaction. Almost like a "chose your own adventure" done in ride form.
I'd hate to see Mario and company at Disneyland. They are just Not Disney!

I'm going to go ahead an assume that the person who started this thread was mainly thinking of kingdom hearts. So, we are talking about a ride based off of a game that has a strong story and strong characters and is Disney related. I don't think the poster meant that they should change Autopia into a MarioKart ride.

Rather than add video game based rides, I have always thought that with new technology comes new progress.
*What about a portable video game system that a parent or guardian could purchase or rent as the enter the park.
*Using blue tooth technology the device would react to a sensor near each standby entrance and unlock a new min game for each ride.
*Now each time your child steps into line, the game activities and the child is preoccupied while he or she is in line, reducing the amount of Excedrin I need to pack for my trips to DL.
*At the end of the trip, day, experience at the park(s) the game player would retain all the mini games you come in contact with while in the park. You could then choose to purchase or return the game player.
*Then each year new games, new levels and new challenges could be loaded into the park, giving children and parents and incentive to return to the park.

Acquiring franchise rights is different than making a ride based on a Disney owned cart. Kingdom Hearts would be the logical choice, but how many adults would need the story line explained to them in Detail?
                Mario Kart autopia......*~~shudder~~*

Well, a good ride would explain the story to you as you rode or walked through the queue. I would hope they wouldn't just throw you into the middle of the story.

PS> No need to post about rides with crappy queues and bad storytelling. I know they exsist. Save us all the bandwith.
