  • Question about Christmas Eve & Fireworks at DLR...

Does anyone know if they will be showing the fireworks at an earlier time on Christmas Eve? Like maybe 7:30? Or is it going to be the same time, 9:30?

I'm taking my parents on Christmas Eve for dinner at the Blue Bayou and then I want to stay to watch the fireworks.

Just trying to plan our day.

    Thanks for all your help!

Wow! I wonder why the park closes so early on Christmas Eve? It's a Saturday, too!

It's always been that way... I've heard it's to allow CM's to spend more time with their families, since a CM is a real person to, and actually might have a real family outside of Disney. I know that's hard to believe for some guests.

It was not always that way. I liked going to DL on Christmas Eve in the '90's and it would close at 11. I think it is a positive change. I think that giving the CM's time with their families is a very nice.

What a great gesture on behalf of the park. I'm impressed.

I dont give Disney that much credit. I think t hey have made it pretty clear recently that they dont care too muc about CM's. (My opionion.)

Have any of you been on christmas eve before? It is uslly dead. At lease the times I have gone on the Christmas eve.

I have gone twice on christmas eve with family and loved it both times. Christmas day on the other hand is NUTS! (I'm never going again on Christmas day.) I would say the only other day that I can recall in which disneyland would be dead on a weekend would be on super bowl sunday.

Disneyland was originally going to close at 8pm on Christmas Eve this year, but with it being so much more busy than they have been expecting, they extended that to 9pm for this year. I think of all days, they should have left it at 8pm for Christmas Eve. At least give the CMs a bit more time with their families that night.
