I do not own the rights to the footage. I believe a DVD project is in the works on Hotel history using this footage plus much more from this amazing vault find.

Thanks for the hint...Yvonne DeCarlo! Also the woman in the pic above that with Jack Wrather - she was the lady who invested with him (can't remember her name) originally in the hotel. He bought her out a few years later if I remember correctly from reading your books

Helen Alvarez is also pictured and she was co-owner from 1955 to 1958.

Killer find! I know he's mid-sentance but Walt doesn't look too happy there. LOL!

The woman is Yvonne De Carlo. Speaking of The Munsters I met Butch Patrick (Eddie Munster) a few years ago. Great guy! I wish I could find the photo GREAT! Now I have The Munsters theme song in my head.

I love this golden age of Hollywood.

I actually spoke with Yvonne's son on the phone to get permission to use her picture in my latest book. He was very nice. He told me that his mother loved that role as Lily Munster. She loved to act. I think the Munsters is a great, classic show.

I have several shots of Walt at the opening but I was told, he wasn't there for very long. Pictures of Walt at the Disneyland Hotel are scarce. I believe I have a total of 30 and most are from the City of Hope Telerama from 1957. I have footage of Walt from that event with sound.
